  1. Looking for a late day all mountain freeride board such as the Prior Men's Freeride or Donek Incline or Neversummer Premier. I will be using this board mostly on groomed runs later in the day when the conditions are less than desirable for hardbooting. I am wanting a board that can withstand the slush, bumps, and crud on the runs, but still be fun to ride and work some carves in in soft boots. Looking for something ideally from 160-165 meant for a 160 lb rider (does not need to be a wide version), and preferring a good bargain buy if possible. EDIT: Ideally I would like it to have a carbon fiber construction but it is definitely not a deal breaker (unsure if my budget will allow it... ) Thanks! :)
  2. So the Prior MFR and Donek Incline seem to look the best for what I want, and the Never Summer Premier looks to be good too... I am curious about the tankers, I have heard they are a nice board but I haven't seen much in terms of specs on them. How do they preform?
  3. I am looking for recommendations for a good softie board for a newer carver (I have been in softies for years and started hard-booting last season). I do NOT intend to make this my carving setup, rather one to ride in less desirable conditions. I am in need of a board that can handle the after lunch conditions in a crowded Southern California resort, one that is fun to ride after a morning of hard booting and can withstand the slush, bumps, and crud on the runs, but still be fun to ride and work some curves in. I am looking for something below $250 preferably (used of coarse). I would prefer to not use plates, but let me know if it is necessary/ highly recommended. Also, from my understanding, I want something that is more damp and has more flex? some names I have heard: Prior ATV Donek Incline, Razor Volkl Dash Neversummer Premier Thanks for the help guys!
  4. Interested in the boots and liners if you are willing to sell separately :) PM sent
  5. Cool, thanks. I am thinking that once I am actually riding the ones I have should work, but we will see. I actually traded with my brother for a little bit larger board that he wasn't using and wanted the smaller one for someone, I got some Bomber bindings out of it too. :)
  6. finally headed up for the first time this season, anyone going to be up? I'm new to hardboots, I have been turning my softies to steeper angles the last couple years and I finally got myself a board and boots at the end of last season, so if anyone wants a laugh, I will be trying them out :D. Only concern is my boots... I got some mondo 24s but they feel too tight, not moldable liners either... if they don't work out well, does anyone happen to have a 25-26 pair I might be able to try?
  7. Thanks all, I bought a pair of boots. I may still be interested in step-in bindings. though probably for the end of the season or next season.
  8. Alright, that sounds about right then, thanks. BTW, I haven't seen the step-ins you have before, any plus and minuses compared to the TD3 ones?
  9. Just want to make sure I'm measuring this right... foot against the wall, measured in cm I am 24.5 cm from heal to toe, and I am a size 9 in regular mens shoes. Does this sound right? I also recall that you should round down the boot size?
  10. I'm new at carving and I am looking for a pair of size 24 hard boots. Preferably step-in compatible. Bindings would be great too, though I'm considering a board and binding set right now from a seller. Thanks
  11. Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here, I met a few of you up at Snow Summit this last weekend (1/29-30). I was the guy in soft boots and the yellow shirt. Thanks Swissracer for the invite and tips on starting the "Norm" - I have been subconsciously trying to learn after my brother introduced me to hard boots a few years back, and now I have some good resources to work off of. I'm not up there too often between classes on the weekdays and work on weekends, but hopefully I can show up a couple more times this season and you can get a good laugh, lol.
