    RIP Croc Hunter

My kids loved his show and its a sad loss, but I always wondered when it would happen that one of these hosts would become severly injured or die taping an "adventure animal show." What impact do you think this will have have on similar programs shown Discovery and Animal Planet? At least he went out doing what he loved.
  2. I have two dogs, one is a german shepard. When researching, I was told that german shepards where both parents have a german bloodline are far less prone to hip dysplasia due to longer rear legs and a sleeker profile. Shepards with an american bloodline were bread for show, have shorter rear legs and a bulkier body promoting hip dysplasia. She is by far the most intelligent dog I have known, and has all the other traits you are looking for. My other dog is a brittany and dumb as a freekin' rock. Great for pheasant hunting and very loyal but not the smartest thing on four legs.
  3. I do alot of bass fishing around my home (SE MN). If you look at a map of this part of the state there are no lakes but ALOT of tiny streams and rivers that are filled with smallmouth. I throw on a pair of old shoes and just walk the river and for a couple of hours. When fall hits, the goose hunting is off the charts. We set up about 300 decoys and usually limit out by 10am every day. The deer hunting is pretty good also. I too am torn between hunting and riding once december hits. Morning temp was 57 and there were about 150 geese in the field behind my house......... Sinecure....put some camo paint on the redneck bass boat and you now have a redneck duck boat.
  4. I don't have a scale to weigh myself but am guessing at about 225. Actually went for an hour long bike ride today. I haven't done that in about five years. I used to average about 500 miles per week and was a trim 155. Finally got sick of looking at the man boobs and the spare tire in the mirror. Hope to find the time to ride every day.

    T-shirts

In college and strapped for cash, we found returnable cases of Cold Spring for $1.99/cs. After you drank 6 or so, they didn't taste quite so bad.
  6. I will probably get flamed about the board, but I have a Factory Prime 167 that I use as my "short" board. I am about you same weight and can really throw it around. My 2 cents................
  7. Send him an email through his profile. He probably doesn't know it's his since this thread took a detour through the time share zone.
  8. I am right-handed; surf, snow, and skateboard regular. My son is also right-handed. He skateboards goofy and snowboards regular.
  9. Klug's website has 136 FP's. Also try the ebay link through Raceboarders.com

    Burton Cant

Am looking for a Burton Race Plate cant. Not the universal cant, have one of those but it is too bulky for an 18 waist. Kenton
  11. There is a great program for adaptive and blind riders that meets every Wed at Steeplechase (near Rochester). Don't know how far your drive would be, but they are always looking for volunteers.
  12. It may sound crazy seeing that I am on a lift every day, but I am afraid of heights. If the chair stops, I'm crapping my pants. Yes, the bar is always down.
  13. I had been the only harbooter at a small area in southern MN. This season, 4 kids ages 9-14 have converted to hardboots. They have not been on a freestyle deck since. Kinda cool.......
  14. Will be ther on the 26th. Anyone ride there?

I will be there doing check-in and coaches meeting from 8-9 or so. After that, where should I look for you guys?
  20. I will be at welch 1/22 with the kids team. Anyone else going to be there? Kenton
  21. Kent, I rode with him tonight and he carves nice freeriding. When I set gates, each heelside turn he will pop up and try to "steer" with his back leg. Maybe it is a fear thing. Any suggestions? Are you back in town? Matt, We have practice tomorrow, I will check on his boot size. Thanks, Kenton
  22. Matt, I may have a cant around somewhere. If not, I'll take you up on borrowing one. This week is out though....too durn busy. Will keep you posted. He is using ski boots with the forward lean as far as it will go, but it is not working. We have been unable to find hardboots in his size. Do you have any spare's? Kenton
  23. I coach a kid (10 y.o.) on our team on a FP135 with the orange plastic kids race plates. My/his problem is that he wants to stand up/lean back and push with his back leg through the turns. I have tried everything I can think of to prevent this but with no luck. I was thinking some rear cant might help. Can you add cant to these bindings? Any suggestions? Thanks, Kenton
  24. Old Key: I coach three kids on our d-team who are on race boards. Maybe we could all hook up after the competition season, somewhere between Hyland and Rochester....Maybe Afton? I am going to try and be at Welch tomorrow but dont know if it will happen because I have an interview in the cities at 11:00. If you are there we can chat then. Kenton
  25. I am starting to feel sick. See you on Tuesday.
