  1. Let me know a day or two ahead of time and I could probably make it there. Most of my afternoons are free. There is also a board instructor there who rides plates. Can't remember his name but the ski school should know who you are talking about if you were to ask.
  2. I have the 151 & 159. Very nice, stable board to ride.
  3. I'd be interested if they are the taller hardboot type in a 27.5.
  4. ...there are a few pairs there

    Need kids gear

Chris - I am interested in the bindings...size is the issue. He is six and wears a size 12 kids. World industries, Burton, and K2 all made freestyle boards in the 98-105cm range. This is what I am looking for. I dont want to stick him in a carving board for his first season. So if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. OLDKEY - Where do you ride?
  6. Steeplechase Ski Area in SE Minnesota. 6 turns on the Burner 197 and I am at the bottom of the hill. Why is it my fav? Free season pass and ten minutes from my home.

I'm starting my son on a board this year and was wondering if anyone had a decent board around 105cm. Thanks, Kenton
  8. Dave, Will be hunting tomorrow and Monday. I will try to post pics by Monday night. I did the flex test and it doesn't seem too stiff. In comparison, it feels similar to the freeride/all mtn board that I teach on. Hope this helps. Kenton
  9. Dave, I've never measured a board but here is what I got: Tip & Tail - 24cm Waist - 19cm Don't know the sidecut. The year is probably around 1997 or so. Topsheet is pearl/white, base is white. Plenty of camber left. The board is too short for me and has been on the snow maybe 5 times in the last five years. I can try and find a digital camera if you are interested in seeing pics. Kenton
  10. I have a Liquid ARC 159 w/o bindings. Topsheet and base are in great condition. $75 + shipping from 55901.
  11. The guy down the road from me had a CBR600F4i. He rode that thing on the edge. You could hear him a good mile away when he would come home at night. I haven't seen him around for a couple of weeks. Found out last weekend that he slammed into an empty haywagon that was crossing the road. County sheriff estimated his speed at about 120mph. He sheared the haywagon and himself in half. Left a pregnant wife and son. Don't mean to be a bummer but I had to give my 2 cents.
  12. I have a Forum 157 with Ride Team binders that I use for teaching. Carves excellent and is a fun, smooth board to ride. Worth a look.
  13. Since moving to SE Minnesota, I have seen a few people who look like this. Plus it made me laugh when I saw it. Marilyn...feel free to rip me again!
  14. I race an Open Modified stock car on dirt track during the summer. Does this count?:D
  15. Three weeks ago............ Me trying to see how close I can cut it by the lift tower. Losing edge, kissing tower, breaking clavicle. OUCH! Crepitus - The sound a bone makes when the broken ends grind together.
  16. Anyone here ever tried them and how stiff are they? Thanks in advance.
  17. I too am lucky. My wife boards and has started to carve in her softies this winter (still thinks she isn't good enough for hardboots). Our son (5yrs) had his first full season on a board and daughter (2yrs) is on skiis. It is a blast to have the whole family out.
  18. I broke my clavicle today so unless it heals quickly I won't be there on the 7th. Maybe next year.
  19. I will be there on Sunday the 7th. Yellow board, silver helmet. Do you guys meet up anywhere?
  20. I had the same set-up from the early 90's and only Morrow bindings would work with that board (and they sucked). If you can't get your money back, use it to make a porch swing (sorry). Different topic: I will be in Mt. Horeb the first weekend in March. Any carvers at Tyrol? Kenton
  21. Was just wondering if anyone has been there. Is it worth the 9+ hour drive from SE MN or should I just head west?
  22. Yup, that's the one. I'm looking at the GS. Thanks for the info!
  23. Not too many branches on the family tree if you know what I mean. Quite a few of these specimens here in SE MN!
  24. Was wondering what year Proton has the blue/black and yellow top sheet?
