  10. Yea, glad you weren't seriously injured... I had two today at snowmass, both were fake groom, which of course is inconsistent, which causes problems...just large sheets of Ice on the tops and even some where people like to stop... just Carvin and the board says, see you later as the edge just refuses to hold through the turn... still good to get a some turns in places
  11. Well, does it matter? Why or How? When you live somewhere at 8,000ft. in the Rockies for over 55 years and sit waiting for Snow, to go slide, that no longer shows up, when it use to, or stays around as long as it use to, Rains at Midnight in January, freezes and thaws almost nightly...when over Ninety Percent of the Scientist are Screaming at you with Facts while you listen to some Imbecile use Science to post an argument, then ignore it for something as important as the caring for the Planet you live on...

  15. I am going to say it one more time, it is NOT THE CAT DRIVERS, it is the SCREED that puts the Grooves in the SNOW, they changed it, now maybe 14 years ago, they are much smaller, the Grooming is like that now worldwide!!! The reduced down pressure, less tilling..no front blade, with the tiny grooved Screed for the finish is a bunch of Crap !!! It let's their Cats haul ass all over the place, cuts fuel cost, giving the CEO that Bonus...It makes the Snow HARDER and slicks off after one person goes over it, it is particularly dangerous on Crowns were skiers slide to stop, It doesn't matter to Ace on his Squall or my skiing buddies, It matters to Gilmore, it matters to Cliff and Curly, it mattered to Mike and Joey, it matters to me, I really don't care if it doesn't matter to some HB on a 180 Gun with sharp edges either OK...Mangement has ignored the complaints as it was mostly from just a few Locals, though my 50 year Instructor friends started compiling 4 years ago to no avail as well...now mixed with the warmer temps the perfect Groom of Old is just that, you have to be Old to remember just how Good it was...

  17. No difference noted Phil, I don't know why either, the thing just is good no matter where or what you ask of it...son Rob says it is a great Stick as well, and he puts them through the ringer...
  18. anyway...just got the 4th Hometown 160, I like a new one each year and give the last one to our son Rob, when he comes for his Month with the twins each January...best Stick I have ever had, for Pow or whatever, even old man slo carving, I likes Jones comment about stiff taking off, that is the truth, soft you can adapt if you know how, stiff you can have some trouble, trying to adapt to slower speeds...personal opinions are just that so I usually ride alone...Snowboards are like Guitar strings, if you want them to be
