  1. Where would someone go for a topsheet like that or any custom top?
  2. I agree we must know how much you weigh and we need a pic of the sidewall showing all of the identifying numbers and letters and we need to know what special specs you and Mark decided on. That’s a gorgeous board
  3. Thanks, Dave. Have a great trip?
  4. What is the flex number (the numbers farthest to the right on the sidewall) on that board and how much do you weigh? I will be very interested in how it compares to your XC and what is the flex index of your XC?
  5. A good reason why I don’t post vids. When you find one of those boards please let me know.
  6. Nice! That board survives this turn, right?
  7. Agreed. Taking calculated risks goes along with enjoying life which is something I will continue to do.
  8. Injuries that interrupt our activities totally suck! So sorry...hoping for your speedy and complete recovery. My wife just got done telling me I was practicing risky behavior and If I keep it up I WOULD get injured and then to read this... I don’t like it because she IS ALWAYS right, just ask her, LOL!
  9. I’ve learned beyond a shadow of a doubt that more flexible boards really help budding carvers like me. You 9s and 10s, i.e. hipdraggers are probably not nearly as sensitive to board stiffness.
  10. So sorry to hear the bad news. How long does it have to be immobilized?
  11. So very glad to see this vid. I am no Corey but this reminds me of me hot lapping Eagle’s Rest at Jackson. Even I can link up pencil lines on a hill like this that Corey is carving on, not as well as he is doing it, of course, but I can get it done. Make that hill a couple of degrees steeper and I end up slarving to scrub speed. This was huge for me to learn this season. I went from being ever discontent to being able to call myself a beginning carver. To graduate from beginner to solid intermediate (hip dragger) on steeper slopes will take a lot more work.
  12. I went through a lot of boot fitting gymnastics but never with a heel problem so my solution may not help you. My feet measure 28.2 and the UPZ 28 shell ended up being correct. There is no 28.5 shell. That .5 has to do with the liner. Most people don’t seem to like the stock liner. My favorite liner is the size 28 Deeluxe 131. The only way I could get what I think is a perfect, very, very comfortable fit is by doing liner surgery as shown In the attached pic BUT my problem was my right big toe only. There was room in the shell but not in the liner and a bigger size liner did not solve the problem. This seems like a crazy solution but it worked great for my particular problem. I wear a size 13 street and running shoe 12.5 no longer fits
  13. Nope, not That board. I’ve never owned a Proteus!
  14. I’m sure I sold that Contra to someone on this site. Just curious who?
  15. Wow! A very scary story...second opinions are frequently valuable!
  16. Totally SUCKS! Soooo sorry! N E chance this was the usual “over the handlebars” disaster? When that has happened to me it’s like all hell breaks loose instantaneously and you wonder what happened. Or, are you pretty sure your board hit something?
