  1. good to see zipfit reaching out to riders to hear some feedback. I am sure that most of the guys are busy with MCC event right now, but I am sure that there will be some valuable feedback coming shortly. For me the most important things in the liners would be : - uniform heel hold with zero heel lift - indication of liner being compatible with certain shell - i.e. Gran Prix fits Mountain Slope 951 shell well or Deeluxe or UPZ shell - Cuff height - not sure if this is relevant but :some of the guys have huge calf muscles - would be great if there was an option in the liner to choose more space tp accomodate this - tongue vs overlap design - not sure if possible with zipfit OMFIT. I am already riding zipfit Grand Prix with sidewinder and absolutely loving it. IMHO exceeds the performance of foam injected liners by far. Cheers! L
  2. What sort of springs did you run on tracks ? Maybe the movement available fore/aft is smaller. Maybe you need a touch more forward lean as a starting position? Notice that 951 offer a stepless adjustment of the forward lean as opposed to deeluxe or standard upz
  3. Zipfit grand Prix sidewinder 285 mp height in the 951 C shell. @bigwavedave
  4. If you are using the center line in 951 to center on the bindings it will look like the front and rear bail are moved toward the toeside @SunSurfer he doesn't move the back binding only the front one I had to spend time on 951 to get them where k wanted them to be.
  5. What's the radius on this Corran ?
  6. Sigi moves the whole binding. I only moved the bails to achieve something similar. All in all it means more roll over I guess.
  7. he said that the mark on the boot is nowhere where he would like it to be. That the center of the actual foot is is further then the center line on his original northwave boot my advice to all 951/UPZ users is to try and see for themselves.
  8. hi pow4ever, mountain slope recommends using the line on the boot for centring on the binding see this article: https://www.mountain-slope.com/schuh-und-bindungseinstellung/ However, when I was on the SG Carve camp i had a discussion with Sigi about centering the boots on the binding and he said something that blew my mind. He said that with all the boots that have heel under heel design (Northwave, Mountain Slope, UPZ) he moves the whole front binding 1 cm to the toeside edge. I tried doing something similar but only with the moving the bails on f2 bindings and the results so far have been very good. Regards
  9. To adjust forward lean you need a hex. Don't remember the size, but you just insert the hex from the top side into the spring mechanism and rotate to achieve a desired position
  10. once got captured while going on toeside over the edge of the piste onto another one doesnt compare to Nevin or your crazy swoard friend @pokkisbut still was fun to do.

  12. hi there kenton, imho you overrotate your upper body, which leads your board into a skid - i.e. backside 0:21 on front side you do not push down enough with your back knee to initiate the turn, thus the board has little angle on the snow. Couple people in the forum already pointed out that you do not work with your knees enough. check out this vid closely : these guys do not rotate, just work they knees and angulate. My advise for you : 1 bend the knees much more. 2 reach with the hand thats outside of the turn toward the boot. you ride goofy therefore : on heelside go with your left hand towards the rear boot. on toeside go with your right hand towards the right boot. 3 do not reach for the snow 4 do not overrotate the turns. Rotation is only good if you are aiming for extreme carving style 5 your hands should not cross the nose of the board. left hand at left edge, right hand at right edge good luck!
  13. @charliechocolate first of all - what are you doin under my desk? I will weigh them both when I fix my scale and post it here. regards Lukasz
  14. hi Lurch, no worries - my english is not always where I would like it to be. i think its sturdy enough - I guess you would have to touch and feel. unfortunately I spend so little time in the mountains these times (4 hours top per week, if the winter is good) I dont have much time experiment. These boots seem compatible with all spring kits that have been made for deeluxe. I think they could be really good for Extreme carving as they have a huge range of motion, which is not limited by buckling system or plastic interference. All in all this boot proved to be much better then I expected.
  15. @Lurch which bit exactly do you mean ? Wanna mark on the pix ? I can take some more photos.
  16. For 951 i use C shell for 285 mm foot with zipfit liner. Normally I would have to go to D shell to get the right size. When I do barefoot shell test with my C shells I have a little less then one finger left, which is superb fit. In S5 I have to take 302 shell which requires an L size binding due to sole size and heel placement. Most likely I have managed to fit myself into smaller shell in 951 then I should. Maybe I could go into smaller shell in S5 but that would require another purchase and before I sell current 302 shell I am not purchasing anything else Plastic feels a touch softer then 951 standard shell, but bear in mind that flex control comes mainly from the spring. I bought these boots via Facebook link here : https://www.facebook.com/miunole this is the guy who produces them. most likely dgss or BTS could support this shell given the fact that deeluxe springs fit.
  17. Right, I had a chance to test out the S5 hardboot. I am pleasantly surprised how they ride. In comparison to 951, the main differences are : - heel sits much lower due to different heel placement (more deeluxe like) see below - heel above causes increased sole length Vs same size upz or 951. For 951 and upz I used M size F2s, for S5 I would have to use L size. For me a major drawback. This is true for shell C in 951 and 302 shell in S5. Liner 285 mp - spring system Vs 951 is little less user friendly. Requires a bit of creativity to get it adjusted. Takes more time to adjust on slope. Probably impossible without taking the boot off. I had to use a screwdriver to lift the shaft and wrench to get the two screws moving. - I found the standard spring too short and had to exchange to something different - standard lenght of the spring picture on the left vs donor spring on the right (mind you I cranked it down quite heavily which might have influenced the reaction time of the boot to lighting fast, but it also makes you think that if you have cranked it up so much, why do you need a spring at all?) - They are super reactive and comfortable. If 951 shell is too narrow for you S5 might be your choice. The shell is wider in the foot area As a standard they come with 3 tongues and 5 different springs. - the buckles look a little cheap, but in general they work fine. Also the design with the cable/clasp over tongue does not affect the flexing motion of the boot. This is a good alternative if you dont have all the money in the world to spend on 951, but still want to get the northwave shell shape with a few tweaks. if you have any further questions I am happy to answer. regards L
  18. Got S5 hardboots in your size. Only drawback they are located in Poland and come without liner. See link here I am sure I can get them to you before MCC
