  1. Surf, I wanted a lively all mountain board that I could run lower angles on for powder and park. All the other AM boards I tried did everything ok but nothing really well and seemed too tame. This thing rips though in powder, park, slush and soft groom. It is crazy versatile. Edge transitions are still quick for its width due to how poppy it is. BUT it does not favor ice or hardpack (compared to my MK and Stubby at least), and it starts to torque my bad ankle if I carve on firm all day. I'll bring it to ATC for anyone who wants to take it for a spin. Bruce killed it with this one.
  2. Anyone want to trade MY long blue springs for YOUR long red springs? I would also be open to buying a pair from someone if you don't need the blues.
  3. Almost got my head taken off by an out of control skier two years ago. The goons can have it! I'll put my patience pants on and at least wait until Keystone opens to disperse the EPIC folks.
  4. I think I read somewhere on Donek's website that the MK stands as the ultimate alpine rock board in existence. I might be misquoting that ;) I like it better with the yellow in the tail! I joked with Sean that I was going to take it out on opening day when I went to pick it up. He looked genuinely horrified. It will probably stay shelved until Thanksgiving depending on snow cover. The true Summit County way is to pull up to the hill in a 14 year old Camry with smashed in quarter panels and unload a quiver worth more than the car.
  5. I worked a little extra this past year to fund the addiction. The Coilers were technically new for last season/spring, but I was hurt so they didn't see much action. From left to right 1. "Unicorn Vomit" Stubby 175, 12/14, 21 wide 2. Angrry 163 Asym, XT sidecut, 23 wide 3. New rock board
  6. Now that I think about it I left a crucial point out of my pointless ramble. I did notice a huge improvement in exposure once Jim and Angie took over. They really seem to breathe some life into the sport through their hard work and dedication. It seems passion is key to keeping this going and they definitely have it. This new website it pretty sharp too. Looking forward to the future!
  7. BUMP for price drop. My wife needs to see these gone so I can buy more uhhhhh.......lift passes.
  8. http://skiloveland.com/snowmaking-operations/ MOUNTING EXCITEMENT ANYONE? We just got our 4-pack(s) in the mail so combined with this awesome weather lately our household is definitely buzzing! Can't wait to get some Sunday turns with the LCI.
  9. From a relative newbie's perspective: I think the forum is great. It provides the exact service it was intended for. Lots of good advice and a solid community. However, I think that the lack of general awareness and accessibility of the sport is to blame for the (perceived?) stagnation. When I moved to CO and saw my first group of really skilled carvers at A Basin I knew I had to give it a try. I had only seen a handful of less than impressive riders before that. I didn't even have a clue what an alpine board was called or how to find one. After stopping by no less than five local ski shops and asking about equipment I was remained at a stand still. Now realize I was asking around Silverthorne and Dillon where the old Bomber HQ was, and the local industry guys had NO CLUE THE SHOP EVEN EXISTED. Needless to say after some internet detective work I found the store and have been a serious devotee ever since. It should not have been that difficult. I think that's where taking advantage of other social media outlets could be of advantage just to get the word out. I've been hardcore lurking the forum since I found it, but I rarely fell compelled to post anything. I feel like the vibe here is friendly enough, but it can occasionally get a little intimidating with all the smart guy types bickering over minutiae. That bickering can also lead to some good reading though. It has been brought up several times, but something needs to be done to lower the average age of alpine riders. I rarely see anyone under the age of 35-40 on hardboots outside of race meets. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with high initial cost, but some of it can definitely be contributed to a lack of general awareness. This is where someone smarter than myself comes in and saves the sport from ageing out.
  10. Acoustic, they are Deeluxe 27.5. I knew they were at the top of the size range when I bought them but wishful thinking and all that. They will fit my boots but I like a lot of extra room to adjust.
  11. Hi All, I have a great pair of Intec Titanium Mediums color black, current model. These have been mounted onto a board and clicked into, but they have never seen snow. The paint on the intec receiver is worn away from clicking in but other than that they are mint (so technically not new?). Comes with all included hardware, canting shims, and even the leash. I can post pictures if necessary. I thought I could get away with mediums, but I can't get enough bias adjustment to warrant keeping them. NOW $200 shipped and insured to CONUS. Paypal gift. Local pickup is also an option.
  12. Oh no thats awful. What is wrong with people? I'll keep a close eye out on the hills, swap shops, and the local craigslists That Coiler is unmistakeable.
  13. It looks like we will be relegated to getting a few four paks this year instead of the planned season passes. I will definitely keep a close eye on the group to catch a few good Sundays and learn the lay of the holy land.
  14. We ride a lot at Keystone and A Bay if you decide to come that way. Breck is a great family mountain, but not my favorite for carving. You will have a killer season no matter what pass you get!
  15. This board could show up to my house with a hot pink turd on it and I would still ride it like its my job. The meat grinder graphic is my favorite, but it may be a little much to be the only graphic offered on a board with predominantly older riders. I usually ride with jibbers and younger skiers so the colors and style would fit in with my crowd. The twisty tree is a little too plain and "Tim Burton" for me. However, if you don't like what you get you can go down to the hardware store and pick out your favorite color for about five bucks. I knew I had to have one after a few runs on the proto. The looks are absolutely secondary to the performance this thing offers.
  16. Thanks for the response guys. Odd Job, haha yeah thats me. We will get the full pass then. The bonus days at CB and Monarch are nice too for a getaway. I saw a guy on facebook selling some cheap tickets so I might come scope it out before the season is over. I look forward to riding with the crew next season for sure.
  17. Hey guys, Does any of the Loveland crew get out during the week or are you mostly restricted to weekends? I'm trying to figure if I should get the full season pass or just go for the weekday pass. 95% of my days are during the week, but apparently the lci crew is good riding company so I was wondering if it would be worth it to go for the full pass. If I do ride on the weekends I usually go to the basin, but even there is becoming a zoo with all the epic passers.
  18. There is a 90% chance I'll be there demoing some boards I will never be able to afford. I'm always down to take some runs. You can give me a call if you want that morning 252-725-2454. I can show you my favorite runs if you like.
  19. I would check closing dates for the mountains if you are coming out April 11th. I feel like Buttermilk usually closes early compared to the others.
  20. OK sale is pending to another fellow. Tjr, you are next in line.
  21. TD3 binders for sale with standard toe clip bails. Blue(medium) elastomers and 3/6 degree cants. They have seen some use, but just the usual scuff marks on the anodization. Hardware is still in good shape. Loved these bindings, but they are too stiff for my reconstructed ankle. $260 USD free shipping to lower 48. Pm for rates to Canada.
  22. I might have a pair for you. Sent a PM
