  1. Q: SG bindings require MS specific bales. Do F2 titanium and TD3 work with Mountain Slope with no modification or specific versions of each?
  2. WTB: SG Beanie hat I'm looking for this beanie for my daughter with the same initials for her birthday. She doesn't ride like Sigi, but close enough for me! Do you have SG or Team connections? Thanks!
  3. They protect the board like a "friend" protects a climber...
  4. ...watches video...immediately plots trip to Revelstoke...
  5. Another question: is the length between the front/back binding bails similar to Deeluxe or to UPZ? IE is the distance required between binding sole blocks greater than UPZ...or same? TIA
  6. I like this idea. Maybe it could be used in the car on the way home too. It doesn't prevent collisions just provides post-accident evidence. My favorite defense so far for detecting "the straight liner from nowhere" is riding with a buddy and walkie talkies. A quick beep (or beep beep beep!!) from my buddy behind warns me of incoming. It's not perfect but it has saved me a few times.
  7. Wow, sorry for these happenings! Are you saying this was a hit and run?! Not cool (or legal) at all! This is frustrating. I see more staightliners first thing in the morning when the groom is good and speeds fast. A lot less in the afternoon when the snow is chopped and conditions are not conducive for mach schnell.
  8. I stayed at Gull Lake Lodge last week and it sure beats the Motel 6 in Mammoth. Good to hear about June! My "good" board's base wished I didn't bring it to Mammoth.
  9. @MountainSlope Maybe this has been asked, but is there a boot cuff canting adjustment on these? My legs are particularly bowed and canting would allow for this.
  10. That core material is some sort of soft plastic that is only about the last 2" of the tail. I had the same problem, but worse in that the 2" of core has to be replaced (this example however looks very fixable without replacement). I don't believe the problem is caused from propping it up in the snow. What is the core material and can the community suggest replacement material? Nice board!
  11. hey, I think June is still very marginal (2 lifts?) even with some snow Tuesday. Mammoth is much better and mostly open as of Thursday. A storm is coming in this weekend they say which hopefully will change things at June.

  13. Sounds good! How do you feel about the 158 length?
  14. Does anyone have an update on UPZ boots in NA? I notice the website is still "undergoing maintenance" (upzboots.com)
  15. How does your Softboot carving affect your Hardboot carving and vice versa? Do you think either helps or hinders your technique? If so, how? Do you even do both?
  16. Just received Photon SO wide. Wow the first time I've ever had a wide SB boot...Thank you Burton! ...no foot pain...really??! I'm guessing the 2-zone BOA will be OK and quicker to fine tune on the hill - I hate to stop (I had the Ion with 3-zone "Speed Zone" lacing before). Fit-wise I can't feel any difference between the Ion and Photon other than the width (ie no odd boot interior feels). @Buford67 check out @RoroSnow 's SO modification post "Burton Step On Full Season Review..." For me switching out the forward lean screws was a game changer.
  17. Jack, I like how the black/red AND Black/silver TD3's match the topsheets. I see what you did there!
  18. Board for sale. When sold it will be noted.
