  1. I too am a true Lefty... I am regular on my Carving board as well as on a slalom water ski.. Seems right.....
  2. no need to draw a straight line on this pic.... I think I was practicing 'the hold out your arms drill without even trying.....' SES 2011 at Buttermilk.
  3. Interested in board after pics.....
  4. hey Dan, I will trade you for some soft board bindings?? Bill
  5. no wonder you are selling this setup, with the bindings at that angle you would surely have boot out on every turn!!!
  6. Too bad, there was a FleaBay listing about a month ago for one of these with bindings and boots..... (I lost it)...... I too am looking for a board like this.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=330513989526&si=cOsWU3KTH4HgE1jvaeMBW4JTW70%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDWX%3AIT#ht_500wt_1156
  7. I am interested if they are a 28... how many times have the liners been molded? Looks like the heel hinge plate washer has been replaced. Do they come with a white washer???
  8. Griff, I am a fellow east coaster and from what I can read from your posts, I strive for the same answers/ride as you. I have been riding for about 4 years now and I am hooked. All I want to do is lay out the full EC form and am searching for the equipment to help. Thus my quiver now sits at 6. My go to board is a coiler vsr that I got bv to make for me last year. Great for all round riding and all conditions. But i wanted more. I had watched all the videos on EC and read that sword was the board for this. So I picked one up used this year. I can tell you it is a different feel to any board I have. It is really stable when it gets high up on edge, thus good for EC. BUT, you have to have it up to speed and it works best for me on a steeper slope hill. Anything blue on The east coast you will not really see the true workings of this board. I went to the steepest hill at my resort in NY and rode the sword and was able to have the best edge hold I have had on that slope ever last week. I was in my mind EC'ing fully laid out, body on the snow. Cant wait to get it out to the big hills at SES and compare it against my trusted coiler.
  9. I just started my 6 year old daughter on a board. I intentionally mounted the bindings non directional (duck) so that she would naturally decide which direction felt more natural. She is still just 'falling leaf' but she is clearly leaning towards being goofy rather than standard. Good thing I did set it up this way, cause I had put the leash on the wrong foot and she has to swing the board around the standard way in the lift line. I will be moving it to the other foot soon. I think duck foot could have some merit for the first lesson or two, till the student decides what is comfortable....
  10. I have just acquired a new board and now have 6 in the quiver. They range in width from a 15.5 Madd to a 23.5 Swoard. Here is my dilema: do I adjust my stance angle to keep it just below 'boot out' on each board. This would vary my angle by more than 10 degrees from narrowest to widest board. Or do I keep it more or less the same and have a higher stance angle on the wider boards to keep my stance more or less the same?
  11. Which mount hole pattern type?
  12. what a revelation!!! I read this before I went out riding today and it really smoothed out my heel side..... Edge hold was constant right thru the turn. thanks for the tip. Just so happens I was on the 158 Madd you sold me last year!!!!
  13. trying to figure out what my deeluxe boot shell size is. Inside shell there are a variety of diferent numbers. inside tonge it says 28-29-30 inside top side it says 28.5-30 Which is it??
  14. I'll offer $500 shipped to a NY PO box.
  15. Interested if still available???
  16. Anybody tried them yet? Got a review for us fence sitters??
  17. 'TD3 SI in front and a TD3 SW SI' - Sidewinder Step in??? did not think there was such a thing yet??
  18. I have heard that the new SW are not ideal for people who ride with higher angles. There is a real delay in initiating the edge because you have to overcome the flex in binding before it transfers energy to board. With lower angles it is not as prominent. Any feedback???
  19. Why do you remove your bindings for the summer??
  20. I have a US shipping address!!!!:)
  21. Actually, I believe I am at the front of the bus if he wants to part with it.....
  22. I find that my BTS 'click' when I flex forward or back and the spring rod moves either in or out.... have not found a solution.....
