  1. It looks like the boad is sold; it is heading to sunny Waterville Valley NH to ride the perfectly groomed cord. Mr John Deere, 5'11.75" when I was in my 20's, never crossed the 6' line. I may be shorter now due to the effects of gravity and age. Thats my story and I am stcking with it.
  2. Jeffrey Swift, I am about 5'11" myself and I ride 27 deluxe boots. I like the board and have had some really good days on it in very icy conditions. One day a friend and I were riding at Killington and it was very hard. I had just got the board back from Dave (Speed Factory) and it totally ruled the ice. We made several runs on Cascade on a day when almost no one was carving turns (skiers or boarders). The board was railing turns on the steep pitch and made the day. My new SL board that I just picked up from Bruce at USASA Nationals in Copper has the same exact shape. The only differences are the camber profile, the amount of decamber in the nose and tail and a Ptex top sheet. I can't feel these differences free carving but in a race course the new board is a little easier to pivot on the nose and release the tail at the end of a turn; the Ptex top makes the board a little damper. Slopestar, I am pretty firm on the price but could do $375 you pay the shipping and insurance and I will clean the stickers off the tail. I am keeping it for anything less than that because it is so close to my race setup that in makes a great spare/trainer. My email is glenn_chapman at comdel dot com
  3. Coiler SL Titinal $400 plus shipping. I took delivery of this board from Bruce Jan of 2010. It was made for me at 210lbs. Since I was 49 when this board was made, I feel this board would work well for an aggressive rider in the 180lbs range. The specs are 9M (nose)/ 11M (mid)/ 10M (tail). The waist width is 20cm. The side wall # are: T 164 SL 010GC1 7.1+4.5. There are some minor defects on the top sheet along the edges but these look to be purely cosmetic to me. There are also some scuff marks from bindings and a Vist plate. I would give the top a 7 out of 10. The bottom has a couple of lighter scratches (I think they would all come out with a grind) and the edges are razor sharp. This board has been ground twice at the Speed Factory (in Campton NH) and the edges have always been done by me. I usually stone the board out each night after riding and use the file only when necessary (there is a lot of meat left on these edges). The base bevel is 1 deg and the edges are at 3 deg (the nose and tail are not detuned). I give the base and edges a 8 out of 10. The board can be seen in this video http://vimeo.com/12141333 look at 1:16-1:21 and 3:46-3:58. This board is a fun free carve board, it works very well on ice and hard pack. I have raced it at the USASA level and it has served me well. I typically bring three boards to the mountain every day and ride 30-40 days a year. I am estimating this board to have about 20-30 half days on it. I will include a Bomber board sleeve with purchase (it’s not perfect but it is free).
  4. I will be there for Kahuna GS and SL. Noah, see you at the Incline (are you TD for GS or SL?). Martin, looking forward to racing with you. See you on the hill, Glenn Chapman
  5. So is it a done deal on the new lot? I want to come down and drive that thing and bust some **** up. I will be up for Saturday's festivities, we may need to pull the chute early to get a table in the PBR (that should not be a problem!).
  6. CPS rules will be in effect for this weekend. Bring your A game.
  7. See you at 7:45 in PBR. Is it GS boards for Saturday morning?

  9. I think I am in for a Saturday morning and possibly a Christmas morning ride. See you guys in the PBR.
  10. I was out this weekend, I needed to pick up Millie at school. I may get a day or two in this week.
  11. If the weather helps out the WVBBTS club race is on Dec 31 at WV. I will post more info when I get it. I talked to someone who was at the River last Saturday and he said it was about the same there . Let me know if we are home or away. Sin Bin (the van) car pool option can be open if we want to head over and try the River.
  12. It was awesome. Sat was a total bust, Sunday upper walking boss had a 10 turn section where it was carve-able. I was off the hill by 10:30 each day.
  13. I can't deny what happened, I am starting the season with negative CARVE pts. One trip down the trail of shame was to fix my boot. One was at the end of my day (10:30). But one was uncalled for -10pts. No opening day beer is at least a -50pts, Mr Deere is in for that as well. Hollywood -60, Mr Deere -50. We need to come up this a no-show penalty; Steve O is out on injury leave so he is safe for now.
  14. BD6, it looks like Sunday morning for me, I will give you a call.
  15. I should be up to ride either Friday or Saturday, I will give you a call when I know. Enzo, thanks for the snow report; if you get a chance hit us with another when it is all done. Have a happy Thanksgiving, see you on the hill.
  16. I am going to try and head up there this coming weekend (Saturday?) and get a few runs in. If there is no natural snow, I may bring my mountain bike. Make a few morning snowboard runs at Loon and do a loop on the bike. Let me know if any of you goons are going to be around.
  17. I was there it was a sick run through a very hard course. It was very tight at the top wide spaced in the middle and tight again at the bottom. Joe M killed it the whole weekend.
  18. Team 32 is working to put together a Master Racing program for next season. We are working out our options now and hope to have some details available soon.
  19. Stevo, Nice sticker placement! I will put it down for carve pts. Weekend round up: Saturday: Ken, Andy, Greg, and Myself. We also had a guest rider from Kmart (Scott). After getting hasseled by the man on the gondi for no leashes we finally got underway. The light was flat the temps were cold but the snow was good. Ken brought his A game and was killing it. He got his NSR down Angle Street, NICE! We made a few runs on North and made our way West. We ran into MR JOHN DEERE who was out for a few runs (he had a break in his kid duty). We hit it hard all day and the chute was pulled at 2:30. Sunday: Mojo, Myself and a softbooter friend of mine (Paul G). Mojo was there bright and early with his Alpine stuff ready to go. He hurt his thumb riding two planks on Saturday. We taped him up and out we went; the dude is hard core. The riding was as good as Saturday with better visibility. We made some top to bottom runs, a few on north peak, and some on west basin. We rode from 8 until 11:30 without any breaks. It was amazing how few people were at the mountain this weekend, it was like riding mid-week. Stevo, there were ponies all over the place. Three Team members will be heading to Copper next weekend.
  20. Saturday GS boards 8-10, SL boards 10:30-2. Sunday AM boards? Save the dates on your calendars May 21-22. End of season awards and banquet. Mountain bike at high noon followed by a cookout at my Campton place, plan on staying over, significant others invited to the banquet. Possible hike on Sunday.
  21. I am in, Kahuna division, see you on the GS hill and the pub. Glenn
  22. Saturday was good up high on the mountain, nice and firm. We rode hard untill 1:30. They actually rolled out Walking Boss and Angle St flat. Steve and I were on All Mountains but we both wished we had the SL. The bottom of the mountain was mashed. It didn't get cold enough on Saturday night to firm back up, it was fun but I was out at 10:30.
  23. I will be there tomorrow, bring a shovel because it is going to be tuff to find the ponies tomorrow.
  24. 2/27/11 Team 32 update Good turn out on Saturday; we had Ken, Steve, Joe and I. Mojo was on the hill but it hurt us all to see him on the two planks, I think an intervention may be required. The conditions were good, and we hit the circuit just right and seemed to miss most of the crowds and lift lines. We ran the first annual Team 32 BX, the course was huge, the money booter at the bottom was a little intimidating but the gauntlet had been thrown down and there was no looking back. Let’s just say that I didn’t actually push Ken and rubbing is racing. There was also a controversy over one racer riding outside of the pre-agreed on course. We are still waiting on the officials to hand down the verdict and check the finish camera to see who won. There were no points given out or taken away on the hill. There was a post ride team meeting at Hamburger Heaven. Good burgers and $2.50 Rolling Rock pounders. At the team meeting it was determined that lime green is a violation and stretching under the lift was just to embarrassing to let go by -10 for each, sorry Joe. CPS totals Joe 65 (-20 from last update) Glenn 115 Ken 130 Stevo 25 Gleb 20 Something for the team to think about: http://www.sugarloaf.com/Events/Calendar/Banked_Slalom.html Sugarloaf Banked Slalom March 19th!
  25. It looks like we will have 3 senior members of TEAM32 at the USASA Nationals. The Jr team is still up in the air but there could be a couple of the there as well. I am thinking of going to Loon on Saturday. I will have to pay to play since my pass is blacked out. My back is feeling a little better and hopefully I will be ready on game day. After riding I will be heading out to NYC so no snow for me on Sunday. Any reliable late week snow reports?
