  1. Anyone heard of Gentem Snowsurf snowboards out of Japan? Just ran into this on EBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gemtem-Mantaray-159-snowboard-Swallowtail-powder-Jones-fish-/161232378300?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item258a32d9bc Of course, it looks like a Jones Hovercraft. Still, I like their simple graphics, and some of their other shapes look sweet. Love the specs on the MaxForce freeride board. http://gentemstick.com/stick/
  2. Goggle tan? Check. Good riding with everyone today! 'Til next week...
  3. Hi Kelvin, Consider me interested. Send me and email through Bomber and we can exchange info/pics. Thanks
  4. What the heck. Just seeing what's out there that people might be willing to part with. In a tanker, I'm particularly looking for a 172 or 182 with a sub 26cm waist. In an F2, looking for high 150's or low 160's Eliminator. Other BX'ish boards also considered. Thanks!
  5. Thanks Sandy! Just got my 172 which looks like the white board with blue, curving line above. Confirmed, it is a cap. Now I just have to decide if that matters to me. Never was a fan of caps before, but that may just be an irrational bias. They do have the 177 (sandwich construction) of the same year in stock, but I think that's a >26cm waist, which is a bit much for me. Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
  6. USPS sometimes has oversize restrictions for international--so beware. I've had the best luck with FedEx. (Even when the shipping label fell off one of my packages, they managed to track me down.)
  7. Bumped with slight price adjustment.
  8. Just an endorsement of topoftheworld/Stephane--great guy to deal with! I'd be snapping up that Oxy if it was the shorter one.
  9. Hey there, That could work if it doesn't sell beforehand. Not sure how it would do in the park though! I tried to ollie off the nose once and it shot me up into the air. Feel free to bring the bindings of your choice, or just let me know and I can set some up for you.
  10. If it doesn't sell before, I'll have my 164 Donek Razor/Saber hybrid with me and ready for a new owner. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?41703-Donek-Razor-164
  11. It's the Flight graphic. I'll post more pics tonight. (Need to transfer the bindings over to my powder board anyway. We're getting dumped on! :)
  12. OR, you could just eat more. What's a little unhealthy weight gain compared to owning such a great board? ;) In all seriousness, since I weigh in at 147--I'm thinking 160 is the start of the optimal range for this one.
  13. Friday morning is shaping up to be epic.
  14. Slopestar, It probably would depend on what you planned to use it for (freeride v carving, hardboots v softies). It's certainly much stiffer than any production freeride board that I've ever flexed (save for maybe a Steepwater)--so it could handle a big guy for that. I'm guessing it's mid-range BX stiffness. For carving with hardboots, yeah, you'd likely be at the top of the range for peak performance.
  15. Hi Slopestar. I'm just a hair under 150lbs. The board is perfectly rideable for me. I just need moderate speed and proper body positioning to flex it correctly for carving. The core is the standard for the Razor, I just asked Sean to add the Saber BX dampening. (I did that to a previous, 160 Razor and like the results alot--should have kept that board.)
  16. ;) Compulsive Tanker purchase is requiring some board offloading. I really wanted this one to work. It was the result of a heckuva lot of testing by me and I think the shape and specs are spot on. And I did have some great fun on it. Edgehold is superb. But I know that going too stiff for your weight is ultimately a losing battle--it just makes everything harder than it needs to be.
  17. For Sale: Donek Razor 164 ($425 shipped in U.S.) OBO 23.75cm waist, 9.5scr, probably best for >150lb rider in softies, hardbooters could go lighter Yes, this is one of those elusive 23'ish cm waist boards that many of us wish companies made more of! In fantastic shape--really no wear that I can see. (I've used it maybe 6 times.) It has extra dampening from Donek's Saber model, super scratch resistant Carbonium topsheet and a slightly blunted nose with a little rocker for a racy look What can I say? It's a great board that I had designed to be the perfect softy carver with freeride versatility. It just turned out a bit stiffer than I prefer. Board is hardboot compatible. Discount for local pickup!
  18. Ok, the mystery deepens then. I pulled the following old pics off of Bomber. The broken, black board is supposedly an 00-01 tanker. The white one is the model that I found available--01-02. Still, I hope you're right!
  19. Okay. Looks like the 01-02's were indeed cap construction :( Not exactly what I was expecting.
  20. Agreed! Many thanks. Looks like I have to offload some boards now, as that 172 is headed my way
  21. Okay, that makes sense then. They once had the whole line (and still have a 177), so this must be a picture of another length.
  22. Thanks! Hmm. I wonder if the picture is correct then. This is a 172 with a 24.7 waist. Then again, maybe that was "wide" for the 172.
