  1. I’ve been working on one of my riding partners who works for our company for the past 5 years. Started collecting some beginner carving equipment that anyone who wanted to could try out. I gifted him a demo Donek Pilot complete with Trench Diggers and Deeluxe boots. He still has yet to get on it, but I am thinking this year could be his year. I’ve been hammering him with Japanese softboot carving clips on instagram.  Send him BX board listings for sale and tell him to bump angles up to get the carving bug set. It’s a slow process, but making progress I think.

  2. Well I must have jinxed myself because I broke the internals in my back foot riding today. I decided to just unclip the front and roll with it to not lose any time on the mountain because today was an excellent powder day. While I usually travel with extra parts for everything, I didn’t have the replacement parts with me today so had to ride that way the rest of they day. What used to be a second nature maneuver, skating around and even just gliding, was a huge pain. So awkward…like trying to throw a ball left handed. I always thought it was strange seeing other skwal riders get around this way with the front foot unclipped. I can see how it would be beneficial for a non step-in setup though to make clipping the toe easier.

  3. @inkaholic SnowPros have the same issue with angles that the TD1 has. They are only adjustable between a certain range. If you wanted to have more extreme forward angles the design needs to be altered. So there exists two versions of SnowPros like the TD1s. I believe Thias had branded versions with and without built in lift.

  4. Those TD1s will not work. The standard TD1 is adjustable from 20-70 degrees of forward angle. This is why Fin came out with another model that has that bolt circle rotated to allow for more extreme angles. These bindings were produced in limited quantities and are extremely rare.

  5. It was $98 for me and my two children to access the beginner area at Ski Sundown in Connecticut 2 weekends ago. 2 magic carpets(one is only like 50ft) and 1 small lift. That’s only for 4 hours too.

The following day Mount Snow in Vermont nabbed me for $140 at the window for a day ticket. I hate it that they can charge you full price when the entire resort isn’t open. I think I learned my lesson and will fork out the extra dollars for passes next year regardless of this season being low snow.

Oh and Mount Snow also charges $7 for a PBR 16oz can at the Corinthia base.

We ordered a custom board from Prior in Nov of last year. It seemed to be taking a long time to get the board, so we made some inquiries. Supply chain issues, but all was still moving forward. We waited further. After waiting for a long time, we reached out to Prior again, several times. They had previously been great in responding to emails and calls. But we could not reach anyone at the factory. We tried and tried. Called again last month and the Prior representative we had been working with picked up the phone. I couldn't believe I got through. He described that they were under new ownership and apologized for the lack of communications over the last months. Board was near completion and would be shipped shortly. We received it late last month.

I don’t recall seeing this new Prior of your in the New Board Porn thread? Be proud of that stick and let’s see her!

Y'all are talking about a lot of things that aren't hot, new, and juicy snowboards.  SHOW ME THE BOARDS.  My therapist thinks I have an issue with porn addiction, but I keep telling her the problem is y'all are on here talking about heel pockets and slarving instead of posting the goods.

    Ahem…
