  1. As a Volounteer ski patroller, I get in about 20 days a year, which isnt much, but I have to work during the week and nights at the Mountain with one run open suck, I would rather be drinking. I would like to be up there more but I have a small child and she takes up all my spare time, but next year, she is going to be up with us.
  2. I was just thinking every board Bruce makes is unique, not any 2 the same, well kinda. Your body can repair itself, but you can never get the same board so to speak. And another thing, your body parts will probably heal before you get your replacement coiler!
  3. Pardon my ignorance, but what does TMI stand for?
  4. You know what, I have the same experience. It's great, but sometimes so annoying because I can't fall asleep. You are right though, it helps my technique because the next day I try what I dreamed and it works. I also get it with other activities like work and such, which keep me up all night too. It sucks when you can't get something out of your mind that you don't want there.
  5. With both areas hosting some of the greatest snowboarding in Canada, it's hard to choose. If you prefer skiing long verticals, go to Louise, If you like shorter runs go to Sushine. I like both but I lean towards Louise for terrain, and vertical. Although Sunshine is closer and the snow is soft soft soft. I dont know, maybe I like Sunshine now. It's a catch 22. Ride them both, find out what you like then buy the passes.
  6. I like Beer. any kind as long as there is lots of it and its cold. I prefer local micobrewery beers. Like Naramata Nut Brown and Black Widow. I have a drinking problem though, I can't seem to get it down fast enough. ;)
  7. if these arent sold, please contact me fleagalbaum@hotmail.com Thanks
  8. Shred, you should ask Fin if he could post the info on how to install your bottle opener in the tech files section. That is the best stuff I have seen in a long time.
  9. you can ride like that on any moderately steep pitch and wide groomed stuff. The only difference is that the length of the pitch they are on is larger than most small ski areas. (southern ontario) You might get 3 turns in while they get about 20 on the one run
  10. I went from reactor's looking for something more comfortable, I hated the burton boots, but I had to use them because of a cash flow problem, I bought a pair of Lemans' and I love them, I had them fitted by a boot fitter and it was like night and day. They dont seem to be as stiff as the reactors, but I like them for everyday riding steeps, moguls, trees and groomed.
  11. Do you mean you own the Burton Factory? or maybe you are Jake Burton in disguise?
  12. Have you tried wakeboarding, you can carve up the water easily, its not like snow, but its a close second (warm snow) I have only tried it once and it was cool. My angles were preset for another rider at 0 and 0, I wanted to try steeper angles, but I didnt have enough time. Has anyone tried steeper angles with success? maybe we could start a new sport, Harboot wakeboarding! yeah! I am walking down to the patent office as we speak. When I am rich I will buy a Coiler for every day of the season! Cya Jason
  13. Ok, now I remember. Thats cool! Cya next year maybe.
  14. It is a nice resort. It doesnt get the crowds that Big White and Silver Star get, so usually there are no lift lines (especially during the week). The terrain is mostly geared for advanced people. Steep and lots of moguls and trees. There are however a few runs that are worthy of ripping it up.
  15. Let me know on here if you will be there next year and we will hook up. Nice video by the way.
  16. I was watching Rob Crobar's movie from this link http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=753 I found at the extremecarving.com forum and was wondering if anyone knows where it was filmed? It looks very much like my home resort of Apex in BC, is he a local? If he is, I would like to hook up and ride with him sometime.
  17. Nice riding, your legs must be like iron, carving those long runs with no breaks.. There was no one elso on the Mountain, did you guys kick everyone off? I am stoked now, I need to go riding.
  18. Thats weird, its just a lycos free web hosting, its must be all the pop up ads. I dont notice them because my norton filters most of them, when I turned it off, I was suprised to see all the pop ups and banners, it kinda sucks. Actually yes he was, I didnt nail him too hard though.
  19. Yeah its like 2 ships at sea, they will eventually come together, I kinda misjudge my carves sometimes, I keep nailing the photo guy. I knocked my friend in the air a few weeks ago, I carved in front of him at the bottom of the hill while he was watching , I hit him in the shins while I was trying to abort and skid to a stop, he summersaulted over me and landed on his back. Sucks to be him. Thankfully he laughed it off and wasn't really hurt.
  20. Jumping on the band wagon, I took some small clips while I was in Banff this winter. (The inlaws live there :D, I love them!) . http://www.angelfire.com/film/fleaman/ Feel free to critique or laugh or maybe post your videos for all to see. (I love to watch other people carve) cya Jason
  21. thanks for the info, I used the edge of my wax scraper to check it, I have true bars for skis but not boards.
  22. Nice video. I know what you mean about dialing in the camera. Mine kinda sucks, it only takes 15 second clips with no sound. I had a friend video me with his, but I get lost in the background untill I am really close. Then there is the size factor, I can reduce them with divx, but then not every one can view it, so they are not easy to share.
