  1. the Monster is my son second favorite board, only second to his custom Coiler VSR but not by much, the rest of the boards i bought from you through the years have been passed on and could possibly be somebody else's favorite board now.
  2. I've bought some of his "former favorite boards" numerous times :D
  3. I prefer Snow Summit too, but if everybody wants to go to mountain high i don't have a problem with it
  4. seriously interested in the Prior MFR (men’s free ride) 176 cm and the Prior pow Stick 181 w/3 hole pattern i cannot send you an email through Bomber, unable your email or send me an email through Bomber thanks
  5. I don't think it's happening this Sunday and conditions are not that good (spring conditions in December with low coverage) ASSESS is just an excuse to get together and ride but it's more fun when the conditions are good, we can wait a while or even try to decide which Sunday in the future would be good, Julian and I are not opposed to go to Mountain high, we don't have passes to either Snow Summit or Mountaing High so it doesn't make much difference for us except maybe a shorter drive, but I know some of you have passes at Snow Summit and some of you have passes at Mountain high so you guys can decide (or fight it out) everybody feel free to chime in about which Sunday and which Resort Happy New Year
  6. me and Julian will be riding at June tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, maybe Sunday too, based on conditions and how we feel. it doesn't look like the full mountain is open but we don't want to deal with the crowd at Mammoth, if you are at June I am sure we will run into each other
  7. glad to hear you are still with us <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0VkrUG3OrPc" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
  8. those plates work wonders for me, there used to be a thread with a bunch of reviews from a couple of years ago but i cant find it anymore, i wrote something about them on this thread at post #25 http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?39555-Hate-to-do-this-gt-softies&p=395562#post395562 and you can see the plate in action here if you have 4 minutes to waste, you can skip the first 30 seconds <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/60305864" webkitallowfullscreen="" mozallowfullscreen="" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="281" width="500"></iframe> last day of SES 2013 from carvingchef on Vimeo.
  9. Hi Neil, I will take this, if you are not in a hurry i can give you cash next time i see you, I am planning to ride at June the 3 or 4 days after Christmas. Ciao
  10. many options for summer activities but this is definitely the most fun
  11. I ride mostly hardboots but i occasionally enjoy softboots and what works for me is Bomber Power Plates, Nidecker Pro 800 and Salomon Malamute, I don't race BX and i don't care about jumps, i just like occasionally to carve in sofboots but i can tell you that BX racers don't necessarily want the stiffest boots/bindings interface, they do a lot of jumping and a lot of turns are banked, I think they prefer a lighter set up but responsive. the Power plates definitely adds edge pressure and clearance but they make the set up heavier, for me the biggest advantage of the power plates is the cant lift adjustment that you cannot get with any other bindings or riser plates (except maybe Catek fr, good luck with that) edge to edge transition fast or slow really depends on the width of the board more than anything else I have never seen 2stroke riding but i have seen slopestar riding in softboots and he can outcarve some people I know on hardboots with newer metal board and he can carve circles around me, I have never tried Flow but slopestar swears by them, here is a softboot video, nothing special, just for entertainment purpose <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/58941761" webkitallowfullscreen="" mozallowfullscreen="" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="375" width="500"></iframe> the Donek on soft boots from carvingchef on Vimeo.

  13. I already posted this link on Wednesday but i know some people did not see it and I added more photos to the album, these were taken Tuesday early afternoon near the bottom of Tiehack, if you were riding there on Tuesday there might be some pics of you in the album http://s682.beta.photobucket.com/user/carvingchef/library/SES 2013

  17. F.Y.I. from the Korean site, i don't speak Korean but i can read mm. and cm.
  18. George, Sage, Julian and I had a blast today, the conditions couldn't have been better and it wasn't crowded, no pictures because we were too busy riding, whoever didn't go missed out on a good day I hope whoever is going next Sunday will find the same conditions
  19. i don't know what Sean calls it, i called it the "SPLIT LOG" because it did not have a name, you need to talk to Sean about price, i don't think size and shape would change the price that much but material does, metal, non metal, bamboo core, carbon top-sheet, etc. you get the idea, give him a call if you are really interested
  20. finally the 'SPLIT LOG" is here, not in time for a Merry Christmas but in time for a Happy New Year
  21. modern snowboard 21st century snowboard
  22. I will be in Mammoth with Julian the following weekend so we are going to Snow Summit this Sunday to start the season, you guys feel free to go this Sunday, the following Sunday or both we'll see whoever is going up this Sunday and ketch up with the rest later in the season
  23. then i guess riding skis with "lift plates" or "riser plates" between the ski and the binding is not skiing, and you cant call those things skis either that makes it very easy to recognize true skiers on the mountain, they are the ones riding equipment from 20 years ago or older
  24. it's going to be the first day of the season for me and Julian as well (never too late to start) but ASSESS is not just about the riding, it's about getting together with old friends and make some new ones and terrorizing Snow Summit too Andrea... carvingchef Julian..... Arclite. Lance..... Slopestar/ I'm a tentative as I was plannig on racing GS at Mt High on Saturday, possibly Sunday too. Shannon.... MTB_DH11 Aaron....oldvolvosrule. I will be on a carving BOARD for the duration. I felt like the bastard child out there last year George....GeorgeS Albert.....bullwings
