If you get down to Oregon maybe some demos on the longboards? We have alot of Radair fans local and could some side by side rides on the 2k tankers vs your 205 ? It would be a lot of fun! I have last years 2k tanker but really in the market for a big split to use on a dream BC tour trip this next winter (icefall lodge). I have been looking at venture's 182 rockered split. We got to ride proto rockered tankers before final release this last year and all really liked the design. Any thoughts on the "rockered concept" ? Jim

Cool news Bryan ! I was up there yesterday with kids doing the skibowl adventure park and at dinner at the rams head bar. The Palmer looked like it had pretty good coverage.

Note small fractures running all over snowback . Somewhat distrubing but was told by other skiers harmless. Still large fresh snowpack up there .....

Went for my second tour using a "splitboard" . I am starting to get used to it and love the awesome assending power to go right up steep stuff on uphill travel. The voile system works really good with easy change overs. However the older "voile 173" lacked the feel of the solid boards I am used too in that it was weird to carve and felt so short compared to riding Tankers. I probably will get used to it but really need a bigger stiffer board... Anyways for Tline conditions all I can say its awesome up there right now on the zigzag glacier. I left last friday at 10am and didnt come down till 2pm and it was perfect corn snow till around 6000ft. It was almost a little firm from the top by the hogsback. Went back up for a second lap on the zigzag. However there was tons of ice coming off the steel cliffs and saw one injured climber coming down near the top. I didnt summit but checked of the crater out and at lunch there. some pics ....

I am not that worried about ice falling on me as it snowed 2" at Tline and will have a 5000ft snow level tomorrow. This should keep things kinda solid? In fact I hope it warms up some and softens for riding. But I have been up there when ice bullets come whizzing by. In fact there have 2 deaths due to ice/rocks falls on Hood during the last year. It was a 12000ft snow level when Buell went last week? Yes I would like to do some different routes with friends that have some experience up there. However I think most important aspect for success is timing and conditions. Must resist "summit fever" on ???? days . Yes? Anyways probably going myself and will leave tline parking lot at 9am. I might try splitting . Jim

Glad to hear that you are doing OK Bryan! :o However..... Anyone want to climb/ride hood on Mon or Tuesday this next week let me know. Would plan to leave at TLine for a tour up to the hogsback and possible summit depending on conditions/motivation. Buell called me last week when it was warm but couldnt due to time issues. Anyways might be able to leave early monday morning? Or just a fun get to know your equipment tour. I know that some our locals have picked up approach skiis and gear? Jim

I am glad to hear that you are doing OK :( I have a old brace just like that from a similiar accident (minus the broken ribs).
