  1. Mine have lasted 5 years so far ? However I did bend a set of the orange ones?
  2. I have to volunteer at my daughters school tomorrow so its a no go ? Yes might need to borrow and will be looking for something like that ? If you see something then email me ? Would like a 180ish 18-19 waist with 12-13m radi board ? Maybe a roundtail or open for ideas? Jim
  3. Hey didnt go today but will plan on wednesday if you can make it? Looked at my Volkl 183 and noticed some issues around the front binding. I need to show it to you next time for a diagnosis? Might be needing a new go-to big carving board ? Jim
  4. There must be a difference between the heli groups and snowcat groups? I would say that by the end of a 4 day cat trip that more than 50% of boarders will carry a skipole to get in/out of approaches and runouts. It saves a whole bunch of time and allows you to get more runs in. You dont want to be the one bozo who biffs, gets stuck and holds the group up as its worse than being too proud (poles the horror....) Just make sure you have your equipment dialed in prior to going, bring spare parts. Dont buy new gear to try on the trip the first time. Ride it before and get used to it as you are spending lots of money. Use what you are used to at your home area in powder . If its steep all time then try the shorter boards. If its mixed terrian or has a lot of benchs to get through then make sure you got some float or you will be letting all the skiers take first lines to punch lines through.. My next trip is to http://www.icefall.ca/ in March Jim
  5. I rode the last 6 years at various snocat operations in BC on hardboots and Radair Tankers. Bring a set of adjustable skipoles in a backpack if you get stuck at a flat spot . Make sure you have a big board that will float and you will be happy. Jim
  6. Hey I can go tomorrow if your game ! Hopefully it will be good ! Jim

    Tanker 192 $300

The white ones are more durable..... This one is lighter but I broke one fairly quickly .... Jim
  8. Yep and all the predictions were that the east coast gets all the snow this year and the pnw was to be warm and dry due to el niño. It the best early season snow we have had in years .
  9. Fly out to portland and ride MtHood.... Mother nature has been aiming the cold alaskan jet stream at us for days! 20 inchs new powder at MtHood overnight with 18 degree temps is the best it gets here. Round 2 coming tonight with another winter storm watch! http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/pqr/
  10. Yep done that already, have plenty of td2 disks and dont want more.... Yes package price with discount ....bingo
  11. Fin, Any chance of offering a TD3 ering conversion package so we can use our older (out of date) td2s with the superior td3 erings? It would be a td3 ering + td3 center disk + 4 longer disk to board mounting bolts for one super price instead of buying everything separate ? I have coverted 2 set already and love the new yellow td3 erings ..... Jim
  12. Thanks for coming Corey ! Sorry I couldn't stay longer and talk but my kids keep me pretty busy ! Next time I will find some free time. You should skip work tomorrow and borrow some of Bryans gear to ride powder tomorrow! Jim
  13. I have seen Bryan (oldsnowboards) break a set of F2's riding one of his Tankers on a great powder day. He is a little on the bigger size (sorry)... I would go with TD3's with yellow soft rings to avoid a trip to the car for spares. Works great on my boards (actually td2s with td3 erings ....) Jim
  14. Looks nice Bryan! I will post up when I go sunday with my daughter. I hope you got the deposit at the Credit union. Looking forward to riding with you soon. Might go again on monday if it looks good. Take care of yourself and dont end up where I work. Both my kids had h1n1 with super high fevers but recovered easily. I got the vaccine early and it worked so far! However Emanuel has had the most patients in the usa on ecmo support for bad h1n1 . (artificial lung) Its been pretty crazy here and i am working some OT again tonight. JIm
  15. Yep got to dig thru some boxes and get the basics ready . I will try to up to tline tues am to "explore" or mhm if they open . :)
  16. Sounds like a excellent idea Bryan! Count me in . Lets get it done soon!
  17. Wow Bryan I am in for a new silvertanker . They are way cool looking. Thanks for giving me the call tonight !
  18. I actually rode 2 different prototype rockered tankers last in more like carving conditions . They actually where very easy to ride and held a good carving line in mixed conditions. The will be super in powder ! They had 3 and 6 degree rockered ones to try and decided on the 3 degree for production. Anyways buy a new and I will trade it for last years 2k if you dont like it. Jim
  19. Yes got my group ready but holding off till the 20th when the foleys are ready to pay. I have more people at work looking for groups if you know anyone ? Snow coming our way soon !
  20. I have been to both big white and silverstar the last 2 years on the way to cat skiing . It was the first week in Jan and the coverage was a little thin but thought grooming was great. Thecat skiing was good with lots of new snow. I think last year was when a employee died in bounds at big white from a avy? Jim
