Was going to call you after work tonight at 11pm if your still up? Oh yes Canada was great. They havent had any new snow for a week but we were the first catski group of the year. Clear cold temp made the snow really good and stable. Got to ride all the high alpine lines in boot top to knee deep powder . Rode silverstar for a day prior to our cat pickup and carved nice line with the Tanker 192. Rode a Maori 200 at the cat lodge . Some really cool looking new fat pow skiis now to ride also ? Looks tempting sometimes but still can kick some asses on a Tanker.

Rode Sunday with my daughter on skiis . They are starting to need a little snow with some bare spots showing on south facing slopes . The "ski" carving was pretty fun on Star . Below cascade was really nice too. Overall it was fun for my daughters first day . My ski muscles got worked .... Snow sport cross training is good for the soul! BTW Bryan when are you going to bodyworlds brains?

Hey it was really nice riding with you on Monday Bryan ! We had really pretty good conditions for the first day . Good soft snow with a little fresh on the groomers. Got the cobwebs out of my legs ! Nice Ninkasi tricerahops on tap at the alpenstub for apres ski ! We will have to work on our apres ski tailgating plan. Rode today , 10" superwet cement ! Rainsnow mix at base, planned on getting soaked! However got 8 good runs on Star top to bottom "powder" with great at the top , getting sticky at the bottom. Overall good basebuilding snow for meadows and for my riding legs !

Make sure you rent a awd car or something that could use chains .

Working thru sunday so need to wait till monday ? Sunday looks great for touring and bet MHM will open more by then ? Seems like if they have 36" usaully they open the bowls . Will be fun to get a few turns in !

Meadows is opening Sat with buttery cup and easily riding. I am hoping for more by Monday and Tuesday ! Perhaps the bowls and star could be open ? right ? otherwise Tline touring up to zigzag weather depending .... Widmer tonight at 9? Anyone ? Free pint glass with a beer?

Also any bets on when will MHM OPEN !

Mine exactly the same . Great for riding with your softboot friends or mixed groups that don't always want to rail every run . I have td2 s with suspension kit on it . It carves great , jumps great , good for learning tricks .

I have that board and love it! Super fun ride anywhere board!

Hey I made up mon and today . Monday started off weird with Mex closed the first hour for winds so rode hrm which was really fun . They opened Mex + ss and actually got first chair so it was pretty good except for the whiteout at the top . The snow was much better Monday than today ? I did not expect that and thought it would remain cold today. I got there at 930 today and realized the huge crowds that came up and tracked the place out fast ! I didn't stay long because of being spoiled the day before ....

The only day I can go early is tomorrow so decided to head up and make first tracks . Hoping winds stay low enough to not affect the lifts . If is good might go again teusday but can't leave pdx till 745 ....

Ok who is going up tomorrow or tuesday ? Not sure about the high winds ? Hoping for the best .....

Great powder day on the right aspects . Snowed all day and was windy but snow quality was excellent. Got some good runs in heather and off mex in the bowls . Tomorrow should be even better! enjoy !

Heading up early in am.

I went today with my kids on skiis . I was expecting a much bigger crowd ? The grooming was really good in the morning with sun and had fun with my kids . It should great snow but the afternoon the light turned flatish ? I am considering driving up again ?
