  1. Last call for rides. I have two in my truck, room for two more. My only request is that your board is in a bag or wrapped in a blanket. If you're planning to drive up alone, why not share the gas and help keep me awake. I'm in west part of Toronto but I could also meet you at King Side Road commuter lot. Leaving Toronto at 6:30AM. Last check on my email will be 9:00PM tonight.
  2. Pretty close. If you're looking up at the mountain, it's the farthest private club on the right. It goes Blue, Alpine, Craigleith. Directions here: http://www.craigleith.com/plan_a_visit.php I'm going to be at Talisman for a race on Saturday so I'm going to try to pop by afterwards.
  3. Thanks for the info Jon. And Flea, I remember MEC carried the boards and hardware but thought they stopped selling them. I'll check out the Toronto store. Thanks.
  4. $5 for a little piece of nostalgia. http://calgary.craigslist.org/spo/122660651.html
  5. The Volkl Spline is a slightly softer version of the Cross. There were tons of them around for $200 a few seasons back. I would keep my eyes on eBay.
  6. Tahoe: Are these the things that have the metal piece in the middle and two rotating plastic plates to give you a variety of canting options? If so, I'm interested. Henry
  7. Jon: Just thought I'd throw this out to you - I bought a Voile Split Decision with no hardware. I'm trying to put together a splitboard on a budget so if you want to let the hardware go, I'd buy it from you. Never owned a splitboard so I don't even know what I need but what I have is in the photo (plus skins). Thanks, Henry
  8. I'm surprised by the lack of English since I thought it was mandatory right up to high school. Plus, skiers are going to be the more educated, affluent types. Apres ski, did you get into the Soju and karaoke? And did you see any of those Korean bindings we were talking about earlier? The S5s?
  9. Are you calling me inept?!!? I'm throwin' down. CMC style challenge on Friday. Let's see who can mount a binding with more style and precision.
  10. Wow, thanks for pointing that out. Her freestyle coach must have changed her rear binding and I did not notice. Shows you how adaptable kids are. I have her back to 20/15 angles.
  11. I can't help you locate that board but I can mirror your opinion on the WRC. I have my 110lb. son on a 151 Prior WRC and it is perfect for him. Are you considering the 175 for your son? Seems really long for his size. I was thinking of finding something soft in a 160 range for my son to move into next season.
  12. If you're riding on the OS2s, that could take the most part of the morning.
  13. I can bring TWO Workmates and a cheap tuning vise. I'd love to see a tuning demo at the end of the day. I suck at sharpening edges. Dave, I'd love to try those two longer F2s.
  14. This is going to be great! (said in my best Flounder voice) Osler has the nicest snow and the most consistent pitch in the Collingwood area. I'm going to bring a couple of boards for people to try out - a Prior 174 4WD and a Volkl 168 GS RT. If anyone has any small boards (<150cm) that they want to move, please bring it. My daughter has caught the racing bug. If anyone wants a ride from West Toronto (Etobicoke), email me.

    Gloves?!?!

I've been meaning to try this stuff. http://www.tufftoe.com/productlist.htm Kinda pricey though. $18 a tube or something like that.
  16. Fleaman: Image was not altered. I took the photo and Dad gave explicit instructions - "don't cover up the Evil Sports logo". She's also a baseball player so she's angling for a sponsorship. Here she is ripping it.
  17. I have the feeling you're going to get a lot of mail about the F2. I sent you a message.
  18. kirtap: Got your email but I'll answer here. Specs on the 167: Length: 167 cm Running length: 147 cm Waist: 18cm Sidecut radius: 12.29m I'll find out shipping cost on Monday. HK
  19. Thanks Grinder for an excellent deal on some almost new Burton bindings.
  20. When we make a deal on Bomber, why don't we all agree to post a reply to the original ad to confirm that the deal went well. I suggest only posting positive feedback in order to avoid any nasty public disputes. This way, a prospective buyer can check back in classifieds to know that someone is a good dealer. I just posted a couple now.
  21. I think the best transition is to buy hardboots and bindings and put them on your freeride board. Set your angles around 47/43. Ride like that until you get used to it. Then move to the skinny board. Jumping right to an FP with 18cm waist and 55+ angles will be un-nerving. I had a friend who tried that. Took two turns and removed her board and tried to walk down the mountain. Flagged down a toboggan and got a ride down. Oh, the shame.
  22. Greg: I should clarify. My bindings are F2s which allow some back and forth adjustment in the binding placement (about 1 inch) because the screws fit through slots, not holes. So, while I have the bindings on the front two (of three) inserts, I have the screws at the very front of the slots. So, I am not in the absolute forward position, I am maybe 1 inch back from that. I hope I'm making sense. Henry
  23. kirtap, I sent you email. I have an excellent condition 167 that I'm looking to move.
