  1. cheap alaternative would be a pair of yellow safety glasses.
  2. I will be shipping mine in a SporTube via FedEx to Glenwood Springs Lodge & Pool. Even fully insured it is a few dollars less than the $50 NWA's fee. Plus, I do not have the hassle of dragging in and out of the airport. I packed it the other day to take in to FedEx to get cost and timing and it will arrive on the third day after sending from Michigan. I also secure tubular pipe insulation on the edges for added protection.
  3. Wasman - IMO - based on your size, pass on the 174 4WD (Prior) and look for a 179
  4. Shred - Where are all the SNOW GHOSTS? Sky looks as blue as if you are in CO. What is the cost of a daily lift ticket at the Big Fish?
  5. Take your time . . . make sure your windshield washer fluid is full and operational. One time I thought I was good but once we got up in the mountains and below freezing the fluid froze. On I-70, CO snow plows throw a lot of cinders down on ice which can and do break windshields - check for possible windshield damage before you sign the check off agreement as you are exiting the rental lot. If given the choice, select a vehicle with a chipped or cracked windshield and note this on the agreement then if the windshield crack expands you are not liable to replace. Good idea to walk around the entire vehicle and have the clerk note any concerns. You can re-fuel upon return at the airport, you will pass the service station as you are leaving the rental area. Check out Beaver Creek while you are there.
  6. Should Bomber Butter be applied on the new steel receivers?
  7. Ernie, that's the Rx and why we stay at The Hot Springs Lodge. With this and SportLegs I get 7 consecutive days
  8. Can be obtained direct from http://www.sportlegs.com/about/welcome.asp Don't leave home without but if you do, check at the base of Highlands as Dick Durance used to carry this. Need to take from day one on the mountain before the damage is done.
  9. Check your airline's web site, you may want to pack multiple boards per bag as long as you do not exceed the 50 lb limit per bag as each bag counts as a piece of luggage.

  12. Buggs - sounds like you need SportLegs. The stuff works but you need to take it about an hour before you hit the slopes.
  13. Aspen Times Staff Report Aspen, CO Colorado, ASPEN — A Massachusetts man was arrested Saturday for leaving the scene of a ski accident on Aspen Mountain — a violation of the Colorado Skier Safety Act. William Marsh, 61, was issued a summons by Pitkin County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Gray at Aspen Square Condominiums, where he is staying. The arrest came after Marsh allegedly left the scene before ski patrol arrived, according to Pitkin County Sheriff Patrol Director Ann Stephenson. When Marsh collided with another skier, he stopped to give him his personal and contact information. The other skier went to Aspen Valley Hospital, where he was treated for a shoulder injury. A nurse at AVH called authorities to report the safety act violation, according to Stephenson.

  18. Get first tracks on North Challenger before the skiers wake up, first turn for me is a banked heel off the lower lip of South Challenger. Then migrate over to Amy's Run after you have done your laps. We usually head up a few times in March / April. For dinner, Teddy Grif's usually has an early bird offer.
  19. In general, are stiff boards. Mount the front binding as far North or forward as possible and set your stance width from there. You have to be spot on in technique to ride this board.
  20. I are at Pine Knob, if you are serious then drop me a pm. Could greatly accelerate your learning carve. Rode Pine Knob this a.m. from 8:55 to 11:00. Will be on first thing again tomorrow, but I will be doing laps on the steeper hill for the first 30 to 45 minutes until too many others are on the same run. Could spend an or so with you around 10:00 pdwlc@yahoo.com
  21. At Pine Knob are usually not crowded on the blue / green runs. The quarter mile is a great run to learn on as it is straight down the fall line. This weekend, Sunday will be the better of the two days for both lack of crowd and conditions. First chair up is at 9:00 a.m.
