    Snowbasin

Welcome Atc.Burt, Snowbasin is closer to HAFB but gets more people and the powder gets tracked out within a couple of hours. Season passes will be cheaper at Powder Mountain for non-military, about the same for military. The weather at Snowbasin gets more severe as a general rule, more wind and seems to ice up quicker in the spring. Powder Mountain has a lot of terrain and most people here ride the cat for powder or trek off a little. Powder is more layed back as Buell said and definately better for beginner/intermediate with sections of hills that are plenty steep to keep you working. Less people here to dodge than Snowbasin. Looking forward to seeing more carvers here, Kipp

    Snowbasin

Powder Mountain has been getting a lot of fresh stuff lately, not much for carving but a lot of good snow. Really quite during the week- everyone starting to lose interest. Kipp
  4. I bought a Steepwater Steep from Buell a few years back and was really surprised how well it rides. Handles chopped up Utah crud well and floats OK on a little bit of powder. Put some 20 mm Palmers on for a little lift and the board holds an edge really well, a lot of fun. I weigh 220lbs and felt confident on every turn, from what I gather the Plow has a softer nose for the pow. Watch a few videos of Steve Klassen riding and you might just buy one. Keep 'em big and round, Kipp
  5. When I'm alone I kick ass, wish I could get some of those turns on film. For when I get old and want to look back.
  6. Black, Blue and Green runs? All the runs I go down here at Powder Mountain are WHITE and FLUFFY !:p Sorry, I could not stop myself.
  7. Merry Christmas CarverChick. Kipp
  8. Will a ten and a half boot fit the binding, very tempted. Love the pic, always love watching softbooters that can carve. Kipp
  9. You're very twisted King, I like that in a person.
  10. Always loved riding with music, started 26 yrs. ago with a under-dash cassette player in a custom made pack powered by 6 C cell batteries and I was lucky to get 2 hrs of playtime. If I hit the bumps hard enough (on my Black Magics) the tape would eject. Paid 250.00 for my first cassette Walkman, a lot lighter and rode with CD players for quite a few years. Upgrading from an Iaudio 1gb player now to 16gb so I can go loseless- http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/7/ opening up the sound with a little amp- http://www.headphone.com/products/headphone-amps/the-mobile-line/headroom-total-airhead.php and may top it off with new headphones if I can sneak it past the wife- http://www.headphone.com/products/headphones/full-size/sennheiser-hd-555.php . So excited I just had to tell someone! Powder Mountain is quite enough that I don't worry about riding with tunes and I hope the mountain stays that way, Praying for snow- Kipp
  11. I was searching on how to pretend to be a cowboy- found in the tips section of the article:)
  12. Now that I've read this Wikihow article I'm ready to rip! The "bend my knees outward" part is just a little painful:rolleyes:. http://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Snowboard-Turn

    Beef...

I was the first to reply to your last listing for the Prior asking how you would like to be paid and offered my zip code and you e-mailed me with: I've got several people in line so let me know if you still want it. Thanks, Jeff jeff at colecomgroup dot com. Seemed to me that for some reason you did not want to sell it to me and because I do not know you I did not want to take a chance in dealing with you. If you would have sent the information I had asked for the Prior would be sold. Kipp </pre>
  14. Bump for a fun board at great price. :)
  15. Let me know how you would like to be paid, live in Utah 84041. Thanks, Kipp
  16. Are you considering offers on this board? And could you e-mail me and tell me a little more about how it handles different snow, usually on the soft side here in Utah. I liked your video- itching for the snow to fly, Kipp
  17. If Big Canuck backs out I'm interested. Thanks
  18. Specs on the MLY 183 please. Thanks, Snow at the Bird this weekend- WooHoo! Kipp:)

    Snowbird? 5/3?

The snow looks good to me, this pic is from yesterday off their site. I haven't been up but enough people have lost interest around here that I don't think that it would be crowded. Kipp
  21. The snow is great at Powder Mountain, 13th is their last day. Kipp
  22. Thanks for all the info on the NS, hope your season is ending well. 10 inches of new here at Powder!
  23. Interested in the Never Summer, sent you an e-mail, Kipp
  24. Been using blue Loctite for 14 years and never had a problem. Just a tiny bit just on the screws, try not to bathe or gargle with it. Kipp
  25. I use blue Loctite, haven't had any loose screws all season. One little drop is all it takes, find it at auto parts or hardware store. Kipp
