  3. Marty - It was a pleasure meeting/riding with you at Abasin for my B-Day carve-extravaganza! (actually just another typical group ride... not like we need another reason to party) Keep an eye on this ride board so we can hook up with you next time you come back. Cheers mate!
  4. Awesome shot C5! I always love to check out the scenery around a ski hill This would be fun to look at all day from the flying couch
  5. Total thread jack... but next to Dark Territory... we call it The Tube (nice) I've heard of several HBers coming in for the nat champ I'm guessing WP will be littered with race courses then Check the Colorado ride board CK... join us for some turns! Back on topic now... What's an inversion table? A hang upside down thing?
  6. Steamboat is an hour and a half from Summit County ... same to Winter Park from there My cell is nine seven oh - three nine oh - seven six oh five
  7. This is a great deal if you can swing a little travel! http://www.skicolorado.com/pow-pow-platter.aspx
  8. Rode three different boards yesterday: Coiler Monster Metal 188 with TD3 SW Alpine Punk Metal Burner 182 with TD3 SW Virus WCR (glass) 180 with Ibex (my favorite "old school")
  9. There is a small ski area near my house that I like to ride occasionally. The only run I can carve top to bottom is right under the main lift. I get A LOT of comments from people there... the usual stuff we all get. Yesterday I heard a couple new ones though. Was riding the lift with a young local snowboarder... after a few questions he turned to me and said: Do you realize everyone on this lift is practically falling out of their chairs to watch you ride that thing? Late in the day I was sitting on the patio of the base area and an older lady came up to me and asked: Do you have special springs installed into your bindings? I've never seen anyone leave the ground between turns like you do. (there is a flat section that requires a lot of energy from the board to maintain momentum and speed if you want to keep turning ... but I didn't attempt to explain to her how that works)
  10. +1 depends on board type and manufacturer
  11. Thanks for the info Doc.. I've seen some pro atheletes wearing this stuff and always wondered what it was
  12. Thanks for posting this... was not aware of the new product
  13. +1 for Larry the bootfitter in Boulder There is also a guy in Winter Park, Colorado who only does custom boot fitting. He sells Dallbello boots, custom fit liners (including Intuition), and custom orthotics. I've had him fit several pairs of boots for me with great success. Here is the web link: http://www.lefeetlab.com/sltesto.html
  14. Now that we have established the old and broken club... Anyone care to speculate on the long term effects carving will have on our bodies? Are we going to be walking in circles with our strollers at the home for broken down carvers?
  15. I just ordered the info kit for Tempur Pedic the other day. My bed is junk and I know it has an effect on my back pain. ... definitely endorse your other pain management method for happy riding :D
  16. That happened to me last year. I caught a nasty stomach virus and lost 15lbs in a matter of a few days. Unfortunately it didn't help my back pain but did make my knees feel better... robbed all the power out of my riding for quite some time. Weird thing is I never gained much of the weight back and that was a little over a year ago. Are you gonna ride with us this year Snow Goddess or are you busy at the races?
  17. Hey Dave - are you racing this year? Hows the snow/grooming at Copper... haven't heard a report from there yet this season
  18. Intuition liners are hands down the best thermo wrap on the market today (unless there is a product out there I'm not aware of) Lots of folks aroung here using them
  19. I see it every time I ride with Don or Ace....
  20. +1 Blue Bird tried to ski in them last season and said "no way"... too soft ED - If you need tounges email through bomber... I have a stack of 'em
