  1. VERY cool! Thanks! I have a very extensive background in creating models (non-computer) for product testing that simulate the human body. This would be an awesome tool. I wonder how they quantified it????
  2. Sorry for the tangent. I deleted my posts.
  3. My question is not with whether or not these systems would be advantageous for free carving. I am wondering how practical they are for riding all day as the weather changes. The slide mechanisms look to me as they could/would get packed with ice and lock up. I would think this would be worse than no plate at all....... Please open my mind.

    Apology

Please leave me out of this...... ;)
  5. But we can still keep throwing out ideas to confuse him..... I think you can't go wrong with the 4runner.
  6. Since the BMW has been introduced, I will let this one out. Mercedes G Wagen. The G500 is expensive and bad gas mileage, but the older straight six's are very good (G320). The diesels are REALLY good. The G is pretty much the most competent 4WD ever produced for civilian use. Just another one to look into. VERY solid vehicles.
  7. Ah, did not know that.....
  8. If anyone is looking at a Ridgeline, act soon they are rumored to be short for this world..... Honda just doesn't sell enough of them. They are GREAT trucks!!! Not real pretty though.
  9. Yes it was Erik, thanks for chiming in.
  10. Good luck with that..........:D
  11. Oh well, They are out of my range as well....:( It was worth a shot. AWESOME vehicles. Very popular in Africa and Australia.
  12. Being in Canadia, do you have access to vehicle we do not? Toyota Hi-lux Land Rover Defenders with diesels Nissan Patrol Toyota land cruiser 70 series These are all REAL trucks in a small package. The land rover is not the same league as the others, but may be an option. You guys get cool vehicles before we do. These may be worth looking into.
  13. A guy we ride with uses a 4runner to haul a car to the track, it's a Z3. With a trailer it has got to be a pretty good load. He really likes the way it behaves. I Don't mean to poop poop your ideas, BUT. Rule of thumb for long haul of a trailer with a vehicle I have always heard half of rated..... Anything above that and the vehicle is working HARD! OK for a weekend camping trip, but I wouldn't take it through the Rockies. I don't have any suggestions that you would like, sorry.
  14. How about a metal schtubby or similar? You get the best of both worlds. Short board for less swing weigh and a long sidecut for a less nervous ride......
  15. Keep an eye on the weather. We are hot and humid and expecting storms to develop later this afternoon. Right now it is quiet, but they will pop up fast in this kind of weather. When they do this , they are usually short but heavy.
  16. If you are coming in MN from ND. Look for State Parks, we have TONS! In the Furgus Falls area there is Maplewood SP. Very pretty area. You can pick up a state map at any rest stop. It will have a list of our SP's. We are rather proud of them.
  17. John, Pipestone national monument.... Other than that it is pretty flat. It has it's own beauty, you just need to find it. You may want to hit northern IA. Loess hills and lake Okoboji. Southeast MN has the river and bluffs. nice roads. You can head toward La Cross, WI and go across southern WI. Lots of good roads and you can go to Spring Green and see Frank Loyd Wrights place.... Shoot me an email if you need more ideas.
  18. They still have trucks. They just don't insist on using them as their daily drivers..... We as Americans try to use this "excuse" all the time. The reality is, we like our cars/trucks big and powerful. No excuses.
  19. Nice ride! It is funny how different your blog postings are than your postings here. Almost like a different person.
  20. Any luck finding anything local Kent?

Dupraz D1+ 6' SOLD Atomic Radon 169 split tail SOLD Got it from bOardski here: http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=23571&highlight=radon Review here: http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=23560 Still in same shape, also only ridden about a half day.
