  1. OK, I'm gonna stir the pot a little here.... Why does a NORMAL (non-business related) person want one of these phones?
  2. I got my SW's from the first lot and have been running them with UPZ's without a problem (knock on wood)..... I know they had a problem with the UPZ / TD? interface in the past, but I have not heard of one with the sidewinders. Do you have a link to the thread? I should add, mine are 29.5's. Does it to do with the short sole?
  3. It is a powder board. Setback stance with a split tail. It does carve rather well on hard pack, but really isn't made for our stuff. I wouldn't use it around here, I would use it for an "out west" board (but never really did).
  4. I think you can find them here.... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Manoove+Shintronics
  5. This is just to be able to have a tent centrally located. It would be most efficient and let people try out many things in a short period. We could do the "out of a van" thing, but it would be slow and if they thought we were demoing gear they would ask us to leave. Both Afton and Welch require you to have your own product liability insurance to run a demo on their property. Otherwise they are liable. They do not want to be liable do to it not being under their control. They have no interest in it being under their control. If I do the "out of a van" idea, I am liable. This does make me a little nervous.
  6. This is proving rather tricky..... I need a shop to "sponsor" the demos so we can use their liability insurance. Since no one around here is interested in alpine gear, no one is interested in us........:( Neither Afton or Welch will let us "demo" with out insurance. Huh, I'll keep trying. If all else fails we may just have a few pieces of gear to share (plates).
  7. For those of us who do not have the ability to test boards. The numbers are all we have, so I would say they are VERY important. SL or GS is also, but they just reflect the sidecut radius. I realize where you are coming from, but it isn't the same place as me....... Let me clarify this a little. Since you used audio. The way I look at SCR is like amp power vs. speaker efficiency. If I am trying to buy speakers to go with my 5 W single ended tube amp, I will not be looking at something with an 85 dB/M efficiency I need something around 100 dB/M. How these sound is something you need to hear to decide, but it will at least tell me what may or may not work for my application.
  8. OR we could do MES where ever that will be, then the next Sunday at Buck..... We can figure it out.
  9. Hey all, I know it's early, but these things take time. Could you please chime in if you would be interested in having demos at MES this year? There may be a minimal fee to help with all the shipping. Other than that, got anything you would like to ride????? For example, a few isolation plate systems to try?
  10. We don't know either..... When we figure out a date we will be in touch. Thanks Sean.
  11. I haven't seen the Jones, just the rossi experience, it had a rather long nose..... Not as long as my examples, they were meant to be extremes. Yeah, 4mm isn't much.
  12. I forgot to add. The Magnatraction helps quite a bit on hardpack.
  13. The nose depends on the design. Back in the day I rode a Terry Kidwell, Sims Halfpipe and a later Terry Kidwell. All of these had the slow upturn nose. They were AWESOME in powder! But fell apart at speed on hardpack. I just sold a Dupraz which also has the "boat" nose. It didn't have any problems at speed on hardpack, it is more of a cruiser though. So unfortunately, you are just going to have to take other peoples opinions on this one. Try asking Jones...... Or try TGR and see if anyone has talked about it. I know you have probable heard this, but, you could give Donek a call and have Sean make you something. He has some wide freeride boards (Incline) that totally rail.
  14. I think I agree....... The Flagship has a very long turn up on the nose giving it MUCH more float, but also reducing the effective edge. Is this going to be an out east board?
  15. What size mondo? I am guessing the 5 degree is not going to like the 25.4..... But it depends on what you are expecting to get out of it. Why are you afraid of the 117 running length?

    Plates on skis

It is VERY cool to watch from the chair lift. I have a fried that does it very well with slalom skis. VERY fast transitions, his upper body hardly moves at all.
  18. Dupraz is sold. Price change on Radon. $200 shipped.
  19. I know, its crazy! I'll check DHL I forgot that one..... I'll email you with what I find.
  20. Can't email you, you are too new. You need to email me. The cheapest I have found it around $550. I guess they don't like oversized items......
  21. Dupraz? http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30903 I am open to offers. These are really great boards!
  22. SVR has one, here is what he has to say. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=290328&postcount=28 it is in this thread. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=290328#post290328
