MNSurfer
This will be our first year at Breck, after a decade+ at Copper. I'm curious as to what might be, in your opinion, the best carving runs at Breck. And, I suppose, any other helpful hints (all mountain, crowd avoidance, beer stops, etc.). Just looking to help maximize our mountain time. We were there over the Thanksgiving holiday, and with only 139 acres open, I was hard-pressed to find a good, grooving run. Thanks! -Brian
b.free
In my opinion, Northstar and Spruce on peak 8 and Crystal on peak 10 are best bet at Breck.
Dusty Bottle
I always liked Lincoln Meadows and Wirepatch on Peak 7 to get away from people. If you get time, slip over to Loveland on a Sunday and ride with the LCI. Cheap lift tickets, minimal lift lines and good crew. MNSurfer
Thanks for the tips! Not necessarily being a people-person, I like the idea of Peak 7 and 6.

MNSurfer
There are two people in our party, looking for performance (softboot) demos. Is Breck Sports, in Beaver Run, the place to go for this? Or would there be some place better? Thanks!
MNSurfer
I've been riding Breck for the last 9 days, and oddly enough, haven't seen a single other hardbooter. With all the lovely fresh, the old, glass Donek Axess has been getting lots of mileage, up on the top of 8 and 6. Delirium, Wirepatch, and Briar Rose have been good to the Rev 175. Just before getting on the gondola, a 30-something girl flagged me down, asking exactly where I got my gear. Apparently she grew up riding hardboots, and has been wanting to get back in the game. Of course I pointed her to the fine folks at Bomber and Donek. Maybe there'll be someone else carving, at Breck!
kiteparsons
Yeah not too many carvers at Breck. It's more of a family/ vacation mountain. I don't recall seeing another one there ever. Is your trip over? I would be down for some carving laps over at keystone or a basin if you are still in town. Glad it was fun!
MNSurfer
I'm picking up what you're throwing down; It's definitely more Family-oriented than we're used to. I appreciate the offer, however with a group of 7, and being a few yards from the gondola, it's hard to not just ride here. Last day of the trip.
*Ace*
Peak 10 - Crystal. Best carving run on the mountain! If you have a chance and trust in your skills I would recommend going all the way up to the top of the mountain. Its a little hike from the Imperial Express SuperChair, but well worth it for the views alone.
