purpletiesto
Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone has ridden the new VIST plate? Looks interesting, anyone have any thoughts?
www.oldsnowboards.com
First I have heard of it, links ? Photos?
D.T.
The material, plate thickness and weight all appear to be the same as the old plate. Not sure what the "real" difference is... Edited January 27, 2015 by D.T.
purpletiesto
Interesting. I wonder if it is just an update. How does a vist compare to a boiler plate? I'm currently in Japan and on Monday rode with 3 guys and 1 girl who all had boiler plates on their SG Full Carve 170. They were awesome people. Jack M
Looks like the new one must be used with Burton 5-hole bindings! ;-)

ursle
Looks to me like its reversible, so you can set it up for left foot forward or correct foot forward, kinda like jaseyjay has his give the ability to do, symmetrical. I liked my vist, I like my apex more. The vist importer is at the bottom of the Stratton axcess road, the Norse house,802 2971755 I bought direct, got a great deal and enjoy doing business with them. Corey
Maybe the 'Pro' is intended for you to drill your own holes for toe/heel blocks right on the plate? I don't see a 4x4 pattern. That would reduce some height/weight.
ursle
Enlarging the picture shows the 4x4 patern

Corey
Oh. I see it now. You still could drill it though!
inkaholic
Goofy is all you get. This was built at the request of some euro team riders and VIST decided to sell them. When Bola told them it is for goofy riders they had that quizzical sound when they responded "what". The top plates are countersunk on one side only so they can't be flipped for regular riders. Mr.E
The rails appear to be the same length, and those plates look pretty big. I bet regular riders would find they work (although the plates might look funny). Edited January 31, 2015 by Mr.E
purpletiesto
Can anyone confirm that it only comes in goofy? That just sounds idiotic to me.
pokkis
If you swap that al disk up-side-down then i believe it is regular
