If you are having something shipped from Europe to the US, what would be best? Fed Ex I beleive. But, How does one determine brokerage fees on the items coming to the US. Have a couple of boards I checked on for a friend, but we are not sure if the fees to enter the US are going to be expensive. More then the boards cost. Hate to find out that the boards are in customs with a huge fee to pay. More than board costs.

You can call respective postal services USPS, Canada Post they can quote you on fees, import, customs duties, taxes etc. Also helps to know country of manufacturer. If buying a Coiler from someone in US there should be no import duties into Canada but there will be taxes. As a broad rule of thumb postal services in Canada and US usually charge twice what it would cost to ship within one's own country. Taxes into Canada are 13% and customs usually charges about $9.00- $10.00 handling fee + duty.
