I too have this problem ;), just not for quite so long. First dusting of fresh snow for the season in early March on Mt Ruapehu. Fields will open in mid to late June. To purchase the board from New Zealand would have cost me on the high side of NZ$2500 (approx. $US 2000+ at present rates), when freight and duty at the border are included.
