still have my '92 grocer only ridden with plates,

The 1st 2-3 years of use were on old sims/santacruz plates,(Pre 4x4 made by Duret in a configuration like TDs) but these plates were mostly plastic and very very flexy so not too much stress on the inserts or wood core.

These binders were not durable and I switched to stepin raceplates (rattraps), still flexy but more point load on the core. I have used nitro stepins on it, (much stiffer with sharp pointloads) but it only sees occasional use on foot + powder days.

My grocer carved well when new and springy, but the springiness waned after a score of "cascade concrete" powder days. Still a great pow board but wishy washy carver.

A great board and I'd luv to buy that one as replacement If I had the cash, but aggressive all mt use with hardboots and stiff metal plates will kill it.

they were all cambered but mine is rockered now from use. My eldos were tougher and I used them hard with plates, though the grocer is the superior pow board.
