John E
There is a "ski pass blitz" at the School of Mines in Golden on 10/3. Last year they offered a 4 pack to A-Basin for $100. They said it was the only time they would be offered. This seemed to be true (never saw this deal again). Also, last year was the 1st year for the new Montezuma Basin. I think Stan rode there. Stan (or anyone else that tried it) - was it "worth it"? Don't know if they'll have the same offer this year.
Ernie00
When I visited Stan in March for a week we hit Abasin 2 days.. it was awsome. Very fun to ride. First day was a hot saturday a little crowded, it was my first day of my vacation my legs were dead. Then the 5th day of riding we went there, much colder and great conditions. Spend most of my day on the new lift.

John E
Sorry about the messed up text - but I think it can be read.
davekempmeister
Persumably, one has to be there in person, right? No way to access online day of, I guess. Is it a card with a picture or 4 tickets Loveland style? ULTERIOR MOTIVE ALERT: Anyone wanna split one if it's the latter? I'll pay 60/40 or something. John E
Last year I think it was just 4 lift tickets useable anytime during the season. However, I think you have to be present to buy.
Guest shrederjen
The Montezuma Bowl at the basin is AWSOME! I have hit it on a 6 inch pow day in May and several carving days in Feb and May and June. It almost reminds me of those wide open runs in Chile or Europe. It was good enough, that I bought a pass there for this coming season. :) My 2 cents worth.....
inkaholic
Don't know if they'll have the same offer this year. OA Have you received any confirmation that this offer may exist this year? I am interested but don't want to take off work time to find out that it isn't available. If you find any more info please let us know. :) Ink
John E
No - I haven't heard if they'll be available this year. I just saw this last year when I went & they said it was the only time they would be offered. Maybe the ABasin website might have something. Doh, I didn't look at the site well enough last time. http://www.arapahoebasin.com/ABasin/mountain/calendar.aspx is where it talks about it for $109. It looks like they will be available at Larson Ski and Sport 04-05 Oct. They are listing CSM Pass Blitz at Larsons on the 3rd but I think that is a mistake since CSM has it announced for campus. I didn't find anything about being able to purchase them online for you out of state riders. Thanks for posting this thread OA, don't forget to join us again at Lovey this season. John E
Ink - didn't see the place on their website where they had the 4 pass deal for $109 - but that's probably the deal they'll have at the Mines pass blitz. I'm planning on getting either a season pass for Loveland or several 4 pack deals, maybe a 4 pack for A Basin and one of the 4 pack deals for Aspen and maybe join you guys for SES this year. I'm planning on going to Mines on my lunch hour on Friday. If anyone is interested, I can post the deals here by 1:30 or so on Friday. Anyway - it sounds like you're set up to get them at Larson's this weekend. Looking forward to riding again with the Lovey crew this season! Kimo
Montezuma is awesome for carving... where it's groomed. I liked it right down the lift line.
boostertwo
FYI if you didn't score a season pass or 4-pack, Liftopia offers discounted day passes at the Basin (and other select areas). <img src="http://i36.tinypic.com/2dbplap.jpg" border="0" alt="Darren Ratcliffe, secret stash, A-Basin, CO."> Can be a good resource for tickets when friends visit from out of town. Note: you must purchase the day before to be eligible for discount. It's snowing in Wyoming. B-
