Dang it, read this post early this morning - STILL have that song running thru my head! But then, I kind of like the song. Please understand though, I did suffer some brain damage about a month ago. :flamethro

Listening to REO won't help drain bamage at all.

Cause I cant fight this feeling anymore

Ive forgotten what I started fighting for

And if I have to crawl upon the floor

Come crashing through your door

Baby, I cant fight this feeling anymore

At the gym this morning we got Devo's "Working in A Coalmine". I loved that song! And "Just a Girl" is good as well.

Nobody has any Fatboy - "Weapon of Choice" and 'Rockefeller Skank" although I never liked "Praise Me". I also didn't see Eminem - a much bigger fan of earlier rather than later - "My Name Is" and "Kill You" being faves.

Into The Wild was a kick-a$$ film. McCandless was a very interesting character, and some of the filmwork was spectacular. Long though (2 1/2 hours!)

Just watched that film the other night. I agree that it was a great film, but it bothers me that his death is portrayed as somehow meaningful or worthwhile in exchange for the life style choice he made. He didn't seem to go into the situation fully accepting it as a possible outcome, definitely had plans to return, and failed. More of a fool than a hero in my opinion.

more than just "the ending sucked" it could've left a better message to aspiring "dharma bums" than "don't eat poisonous berrys":smashfrea

I got turned onto Bif Naked from watching Buffy and Swollen Members from SSX Tricky. Since then I've collected CD's from both. I tend to collect music that I like the sound of regardless of how difficult it is to acquire (I chased down a Pressure Boy's complete recordings for two years) or what genre it comes from. I normally carry a 4 page list of music I'm looking for just in case I find a music store (such as Tom's Tracks or Round again or even Newbury Comics for that matter) that has what I'm looking for...I DJ'd at WRIU for 2 years but the love non mainstream music was instilled at a very early age...my first concert was The Clash in either 79 or 80....yes I know I'm old

I was in providence for my nieces graduation( turn left at the dunkin donuts ya cant miss it) last may and I was listening to an awesome alternative station while I was there. I miss the east coast music scene, we have a great college station out of cu, unfortunately it is am. Every other radio station is owned by clear channel and afraid to take chances. Thank goodness for fungus 53, though that gets repetitve after awhile. Xmu is cool as well as ethel, fred and lucy when I am feeling nostalgic.

'80 was SMU Dartmouth Ma or maybe cape cod coliseum, 7 nights in a row.

I remember my mom picking us up from the show, we were a bunch of 14 year old skate punks that thought the Clash were way better than the Beatles or the Stones.

Mario, I know what you mean about the east coast music scene, I had forgotten in my world wanderings just how good the music is here between the radio stations than the local shows the bar is set rather high. I would rate the North East on par with Chapel Hill and Austin and definitely ahead of LA (too commercial) or Seattle (too depressing) for new music

I think it was outdoors though after nearly 30 years I can't be sure I saw so many concerts/shows in the 80's...

but surely "the first time" concert must be a vivid memory

...I wasn't straight edge....I remember listening to all the songs from Sandinista and dancing in the Mosh pit but specifics about where it was elude me

Pull and push muscles are actually the same. Or, if you wish, there are only push muscles. Or, pull motion is still a push but weaker then cetrifugal force you are experiencing in that part of the turn. If you were to really pull, you would end up in an instant airborn edge change, or fall. This is why we experience quad burn but noting on the aft side of our upper legs.
Apparently, if I'm pushing 200 pounds, I'm also pulling 200 pounds.

Actually, I just meant my weight. I can do the whole stack on a leg press at the gym. 340 pounds. Hmm..If you could rig up some TD's to a leg press, put boots in them, and invert the lift so that you had to pull the lift towards yourself...How long until you break all the little bones in your feet?
