Noah
So I just bought a new to me board and it has a stomp pad that I would really like to remove. I don't want to harm the top sheet so should I use a chemical of some kind or heat or? Thanks noah
Miguel
I've used my wife's hairdryer to remove a few. It takes a while and leaves residue from the old pad. I've never tried to remove the residue...I was simply applying a different style pad. Just work from one end and keep prying with steady pressure. It'll come off. kmartshopper
Goo Gone (citrus) does a good job cleaning off the adhesive once you get pad itself off. As far as getting the pad itself off, a hairdrier level of heat would probably allow you to carefully pry it off without damaging the board. I had those little individual metal star's as my stomp pad... they looked so cool, until I just noticed that there's only 1 left :( ________ VAPORIZER HOMEMADE
queequeg
I've often wondered this myself, having passed on many a used board solely on the presence of a stomp pad (can't stand 'em don't see the point).
Rik Fromdahl
i've never had to remove a stomp pad, they always seem to fall off by themselves. but as far as removing the glue goo that always is left, i've had some pretty good luck with a clean rag with some wd40 on it. then the wd40 can be removed with denatured alcohol. tex1230
+1 for the WD40 (magic sauce) and don't bother with the alcohol - leave the oil film and the snow won't stick to your topsheet

AndyYT316
Noah, are you going to put on that pink butterfly stomp pad that they gave us at the USASA nationals? I've got one sitting at home if you want it! I'll even ship it out to you if you'll put it on your new board! It's either that or stick it on one of my buddies boards while they're not looking. D.T.
As stated above, a little heat is your friend. Heat the stomp pad with a hairdryer enough to soften the glue, then peel off with your fingers. Base cleaner or goo gone will remove any remaining adhesive from the topsheet. Scuff
Tried to remove my last foam stomp pad with a paint scraper and the whole thing disintegrated. Ended up using goo-gone, and a credit card to remove the sticky mess. Ugh.. Using a hairdryer first is a great idea! pink butterfly stomp pad Ha ha ha.. Along with pink butterfly stomp pads, they were also handing out stickers with a grenade and the word "Gloves" - after a little Cut-n-paste, mine read "Love GS." Noah
Why not put the Pink Butterfly on your friends bumper instead, like on the lower rear right where the driver is less likely to pay attention to it. hahaha it works well!! Noah
I got a 177 GS Nidecker. I still have the Burton Race Plate stuff if you want it. There are also T-bolts in with the bag. We should hook up and go ride somewhere.
