  1. Sounds great Carvingprof! I’ll find out shipping costs and we can work through PayPal, Apple Pay or whatever. Thanks! Andy
  2. Could anyone use some Burton Furnace boots, size 26? Make an offer and be willing to pay shipping, and I’ll send them your way! I live in Florida now, visiting my old place in Utah, and have to part with some things. thanks! Andy
  3. Hi Sage, I just sent you a message about the Deeluxe boots. Thanks! Andrew
  4. Dang, I was trying to get off work so I could make it out there this weekend. But for some reason, the military only gives us a certain schedule we have to follow. Gotta love being an activated Navy reservist! I guess it could always be worse. I'll just be stuck out here in Georgia for another 10 months, so I'll see you guys next year! Have fun without me and ride hard! Maybe I'll see some of you guys the next weekend when I do make it out there again. Bordy, it was great to see you at the USASA GS/SL race at The Canyons! Thanks for the tips about the course!
  5. Hey Gearhunt, I was in the same boat as your son a few years ago. Well kinda. I got into alpine and bought a used Prior WCR 171. I used it for a season and the person I bought it from had it for a season. It has a softer flex so it's a little more forgiving while learning to tear it up on the new board. I was about the same weight as your son when I got it. Yeah, I've gained a few pounds since then. But literally a few. I had a great time learning on the board and thought it was a lot of fun. Now I've got a couple other Prior boards that I use, and that one just sits around. So if you're intersted, let me know and I'll give you a good deal on it. Oh yeah...I'll admit it does have some Hawaiian flowers on the tail of the topsheet. I mostly covered it up with a sticker!
  6. Hey Mellow Yellow! I forgot to tell you, but I'll be at Cataloochee this weekend. I'll be there on Sat and probably Sunday too. Let me know if you'll be up there! I'll have a softbooter hanging out with me too, but I'll ride with you too if you're there!
  7. Dude! I think I'm riding the wrong mtn here in the South! I should head up there sometime. When's the next bikini day? I don't have one, but it'd be fun to see other people in theirs. I think a mankini might hurt if I get a little too close to the snow while carving. I'll be at Cataloochee this weekend though! Next weekend I'll be back in my normal home of Utah for some good riding and racing.
  8. I know it's been a while since I've posted on here. But I was recently activated from the Navy Reserve to go to Georgia (the state) for a year. I'm working at Ft Gordon doing stuff, and won't be going anywhere else for the military. But since I'm here, I'll be going to Cataloochee to get some riding in on the weekends. It's a 4 hour drive, but I need it for my sanity. So I'll be there this coming weekend until Monday!! I'll be there on other weekends too as long as I can get away from work :) I'm going to try to make it back to Utah for a few races on some weekends too. If anyone else rides at Cataloochee, hit me up and we can go ride!
  9. Thanks Andrea! I really appreciate all the help with this. That must have been a really educational experience with your roommate in college. College provides us with a lot of great things, especially real world experiences. Feel free to use that bro code that I emailed to you. Thanks again!
  10. And if anyone helps me, I'll email you with my bro code for Backcountry.com! You can also use it at Dogfunk.com and Tramdock.com!
  11. Hey guys! I know this is kinda out there, so I'm in the right spot. But I'm trying to raise money to do the MS 150 bike ride this weekend. If anyone would like to help me with this, feel free to go to the links below. I'm just a bit short, but any help would be great! Thanks for your help! Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. That's why I registered for the MS Bike Tour, and why I'm asking you to support my fund raising efforts with a tax-deductible donation. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of MS but they can't do it without our help. It's faster and easier than ever to support this cause that's so important to me. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message. If you prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below. Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of people with MS. I appreciate your support and look forward to letting you know how I do. P.S. 12. Hi Przemek, I'll let you know if I'm good with sharing a room or something. I think I might have found a place to stay with a friend of mine. I'll let you know things don't work out though. You'll be seeing me at the opening ceremonies Noah. My friend and I will be wearing our "Beerfest" track suits, so it'll probably be hard to miss us. We'll totally have to go get a beer for you and soda for me. :D Maybe I'll come visit you in your hotel room sometime too. I tried emailing Josh, but I don't think his email address is working. I got an undeliverable message back when I tried emailing him last week. I'll be racing in the senior men's division this year. I won't be turning 30 for a few more years. Give me a little time and I'll come race with you Damion.
  13. I'm going too! I'll be racing GS, SL and BX. My friend and I are also looking for a good place to stay during the week. Noah, let me know if you need a ride to anyone's house. I'll have my explorer out there.
  14. I love Cholo's! It's pretty good mexican food. I'd get around by car if you can. The Bus can be so unpredictable with the times they come by. Last I heard was that they had cracked down on the time limit of transfers, but maybe they eased up on that. Ted's Bakery in Sunset was my favorite place for a burger and a slice of chocolate haupia pie. Oh yeah, I lived in Laie for a while, so I was used to the country side of things.
  15. Make sure you get out of Waikiki for a while. That place drives me nuts! Waikiki just bugs me. But I'm more used to north shore and windward side spots. Get out of Waikiki and do some exploring!
  16. Oh yeah, if you do go out in a wetsuit, watch out. The locals will notice and might steal things from you or your car. It's really easy to spot a tourist and it's best to try to blend in as much as you can. Unless you're in Waikiki, then it doesn't matter because everyone is a tourist there. I still think you'd be better off with a rashguard, maybe one that has more padding in the chest area.
  17. I don't think you'll need a wetsuit out in the water in Hawaii. It's really warm out there no matter what time of year it is. Mainly because it's Hawaii. You can find some good rashguards at Surf N Sea in Haliewa. They'll help you out. If you're coming from the windward side (Kaneohe is over there) it's just a nice drive up Kamehameha Hwy along the coast, take the first Haliewa exit and it'll be a big yellow building on your right before the bridge. If you're coming from Honolulu going up through Pearl City and Mililani, take the 2nd Haliewa exit and it'll be the same directions as if you were going at the 1st exit. I hope that helps you out! If you want to do some mtn biking, rent a bike from Raging Isle in Haliewa, they have great bikes! Have fun out in Hawaii! Maybe I'll be out there again sometime this summer.
  18. Hey guys, My buddy and I are going to be out there from Utah for the USASA Nationals March 29th-April 5th. Anyone know of a cheap place to stay for while we're there? I stayed at a singles club thing in Tahoe last year really cheap. If anyone knows about something like that please let me know. Closest hostels are in Denver, so I don't think that'll work. But if anyone is going out there for nationals and is getting a house or anyone that knows of a good place to stay, please let me know. Thanks for your help!
  19. Oh yeah, I wear a size 9 in regular shoes. I've got an average foot, not really narrow or wide or anything. I'll be emailing you later!
  20. Hi again guys. West-sorry I haven't gotten those pics to you yet. It's been a crazy weekend of gs, sl and bx racing. I'm going to take those pics tonight and email them to you. Sorry for the delay on that! Thanks Derf for the info about the reactors vs furnace boots! I just feel like I'm flexing them more than I want. I'm getting a better response from my 700's. Bordy saw my Burton's at the WTC and said that he used to have the same boots. A guy that races in the Intermountain series of USASA likes Burton boots because of the softer flex. But yeah, I felt I needed something stiffer after checking out the 700's at the WTC.
  21. Haha! I know a girl that's in that choir. I even had a middle school teacher that was in it. She was really really weird, especially for a math teacher. Do you want to use the 2nd backstage pass Willy?
  22. Sweet! I was #2,500! Do I get a prize?
  23. Ok, so I'm totally bored at work and decided to put my Burton Furnace boots up for sale! I got them used and have ridden them for 2 seasons. They still work great, just a little too soft flexing for me now. I got the Deeluxe 700's:1luvu: But if anyone wants my old Burton boots let me know! I'll let them go for $50 and buyer pays shipping. If anyone is in Utah or wants to meet at Copper for USASA Nationals, let me know and we can just meet up. I'm also good for good trades! I'll take some pics and post them later when I get home this afternoon/evening.
  24. Anyone remember when downhill mtn biking was in the x games a long time ago? I still remember when this guy was going through a little tunnel thing while the other guy was going over it. It was really funny at the time.
  25. You've got my vote Trappy! I had that same schedule as you Wavechaser. It was kinda nice. I spent every day on the mountain except for maybe one day. I even volunteered to help one of the days when mens open had the slalom course. It was fun, I guess I'll just explore Colorado more with my days off, or have fun riding Copper.
