  1. my jacket comes equipped with a whistle right on the zipper. Also, i have my fox 40 whistle from my reffing job. Those can defintly be heard for miles. Also, i'm not too aware of how many resorts actually have this, buts its called a recco passive transmitter. There are also other useful locator things that i believe are really important to have in large places like vail. there must be something that acts like an emergency beacon for the ski patrol or something?
  2. ya i couldnt believe it myself, till one of my friend's co workers was offered a job for $2 mill for 4 years by cvs. Pharmacist get paid alot. My sister works in brooks pharmacy in Boston and she gets $100k. The demand is extremly high and that is why i got into it. Grad school is only a slight possibility because we automatically graduate with a PhD in pharmacy. And yes, there is alot of money out there, sadly, to get it, you just need to be informed. I just wished teachers got paid more than they do. They deserve so much more. As for the French Alps, that would probably have to wait for a winter break in a few years. Thanks for the help regarding that.
  3. wow, thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it. If i enjoy hardbooting even close to as much as skiing, I'll be hoping to get out of the east for a while.
  4. Going to college now but soon, i'm hoping to be skiing/ride every night, or at least close to that. Im starting to love wachusett more and more. As i posted in a previous thread, i wouldn't mind going to work in alaska then taking a few years off to just ski and ride as much as i can.
  5. since my boots were a bit small, i whipped out my skis. My ski boots wouldnt fit in the bindings but that was some of the best skiing ive done in a while. The conditions were a tad icy, but perfect for carving. On my first run, i noticed 2 hardbooters on the same run. Both were members of BOL and by the end of the day, i ran into another, also from here. In 2 hours, we got so many runs in because the whole mountain had no more than 20 people on it. Me and my friends tore it up. Next trip will be monday night, around 7pmish. By then, my boots will be set and stretched so i'll be attempting to carve in comfort:biggthump
  6. Well my sister got a job offer for about $500,000 a year in alaska with a 3 year contract. Its tough though, and gets boring and old fast. But for half a mil, i think i can manage it. Skiing/riding anytime i'm not working is something i can get used to.:o
  7. i'll be there at 6 to 10. Gimmie a call if you're going to be in the area. 508 265 1974
  8. my room mate said near his house there is mountain Creek which is like 80% snowboarders.
  9. LOL! all i need is a girl who is crazy about skiing and snowboarding as i am. wont be too hard though.
  10. for a hobby a lil bit cheaper than car racing, try mountain biking, hiking, rubix cubes, chess, dust collecting and long board carving (if u have big hills around you). I personally fly remote control airplanes :)
  11. u prolly never sent in ur knives to get sharpened. anyways. my guess about the board is that the serrades provide more edge to carve on.
  12. at wachusett, about 2/3 are boarders when i went there.
  13. or you get a cutco knife and those would kick any knife's ass:eplus2: (and yes, I am one of "those" people)
  14. congrats and welcome to BomberOnLine:biggthump
  15. first off, i'd like to say thank you for your service and sacrifices. It has been an ever occuring thought of mine of where I want to live after college. Hopefully, I actually wont be a pharmacist. I'm planning on getting my MBA and doing something with that in combination with my PharmD. I have six years to think about what I'm going to do. I know I would not be moving to anywhere warm:) Lastly, sorry for high jacketing my own thread. So yeah....lift ticket prices are out of control:D
  16. i track down those mother f***ers slit their tires:angryfire
  17. classifieds are ur best friend.
  18. its either out west or to alaska. The only downside is that I would barely see any family for three or so years. But i can't even imagine skiing/riding alaska :drools:
  19. I always wanted to move out west after getting my degree. Not only do they pay pharmacist better out there, but the skiing is to die for, compared to the east.
  20. id be there for moral support.
  21. I am able to go monday nights. I know that you don't like that, but if you're interested, let me know.
  22. 1060 for me. Should be studying bio:smashfrea
  23. nope i didnt wear them this time but I really wanted to. I'm going out and getting some this weekend before i go again. My left wrist really hurt in the morning. The most pain i had was in my right shoulder. Because of wrestling, and an injury my sister caused before my memory serves me, I have a really, really bad shoulder.
