i had my burton winds widened at my ski shop. It can cost around $50 and it takes 48 hours. They heat them up and put a hydrolic thingy in them and they get widened and lengthened. Give it a try.

well my first time out on plates today got the comment "Is your board broken?". i had a good laugh. A guy that worked there said he's glad to see "one of these on the slopes," even though he gave up riding his alpine board. Turns out hardbooters are actually common at wachussett

...was somewhat successful. I was lucky enough to have my car tonight so me and a few friends took off for wachussett for some night skiing. I was defintly not the worst on the bunny slope :) since i was planning on spending most of the night on the bunny hill, i didnt bother buying a ticket. (saved $26) My boots were a lil tight so i was a little bit uncomfortable. I'm getitng my boots stretched out again this weekend. I was able to get heel side turns ok but not toe side. No instructors on duty there at the time so i was on my own. I went on one full run using my friend's ski pass and got my a$$ kicked. my left cheek is a bit sore and my right shoulder popped out or something for a second. Even though it was a bit rough for the first day, this is something i'm defintly not giving up:) Btw, we're going pretty much every monday for anyone thats interested. Can't beat the $8 discount with the passport card (total would be $18 for 6 hours of riding) Does anyone have any tips?

I love ebay and always will and zangief, well he is just the man. Ebay is the way to go as or the classifieds here would be a more reliable bet. The credit card sounds like a good idea, but that should be last resort. You don't wanna start with bad credit:nono:

its actually pretty cheap compared to skiing. I got my boots with my bindings and board for less than $400. I think thats pretty cheap.

I have wide feet too and it shouldnt cost more than $60 to get your boots stretched. It takes 48 hours too.

I know someone who is on a military base in japan. I'll see if he is willing to help. Shipping overseas will cost so much, I doubt it would be worth it.

I will be going with a few friends to either wachusett or other sourrounding mountains for night skiing as many nights a week as possible. We will be starting friday night december 2nd. Anyone one that needs a ride can come along if they want. Somedays, we'll be skipping class to go someplace better. We should start a boston directory so people can post whenever they're planing on going and we can carpool. Ga$ $ucks... Question: how is friday night skiing at wachusett? too crowded? and are there any other mountains within 2 hours that have night skiing?

Last year at sunday river, my first time skiing that year, I went to ice my friend and since I was a bit rusty on my skis, I ended up running right into him. Moral of the story: stick to snowblades:o

I went to my favorite ski shop here and I'm having them enlarge my boot for me. If it doesnt work well, I'll be getting yours. Since the ski shop takes 48 hours to enlarge the boot, I wont be able to ride this weekend so I'm going to have to wait till next. If you haven't sold the boots by then, I will let you know. Thanks.
