sorry I missed out. I wouldve been in but working today for 7 hours at time and a half with them giving you a bonus 4 hours on top of that will make the rest of the begining of the season a little easier financially. Waiting for the NH mtns to open :-\

Well if by soft, you mean rock hard and cord you mean random piles of snow that were skied off by plowers then its go time!

I have a few friends in Boulder, they love it. It is fully of a bunch of rich kids but who cares, prime snow.

I also love George Carlin's bit about the 7 bad words. you can read it here or listen to it somewhere else. google. I'm with George on this one, words are only as bad as people make them out to be, and as of now, in our society, words are made out to be pretty bad.

I find it interesting how words can mean different things in different cultures. For example, take the word "fag." It has a long history but now a days, it means a cigarette in Britian, a bundle of sticks long ago and now in America, a label for a homosexual. To me, its the kid who misses the ball when trying to kick it in kickball.

unfortunatly, as of now, not yet. With boarding season finally coming up and realizing how much work it is to clean the cage every two days, I figured its best to save my money for gas than to get one for now. I defintly want one in the future. It would be unfair to the hedgehog to get it and not spend the time it deserves with it. The breeder I know charges $150-200 for one. Her hegdehogs just had a litter but I passed for now. Thats a few weeks worth of gas and more than half a season pass. Looks more likely for the summer time. are you looking to get one Jim?

believe it or not, thats kind of my plan. I hope to move to Tahoe and work as a night pharmacist. They usually work 7 nights straight and then get 7 nights off. So that means a week vacation every other week. 4 and a half more years till that could be possible though.

thanks bob! my one year just passed and its been a great year. Started off with only a pair of crappy mountain dew give-away skis and beat up snoblades as well as some of the heaviest ski boots i've ever held. now I got 3 boards and another pair of skis plus some kick ass boots. I was going into last season with less than 10 days on the slopes in my life and ended up getting around 23 days just last season. Doesnt sound like much, but its a start. I planned for my next carving season in may when I started my summer class. Sure it took up 10 weeks of my summer, but if i played my cards right (which i did) I would get the hardest class for my sophmore year out of the way and have classes only 2 days a week. Getting probably 40+ days on the snow this year. Because of snowboarding, my spending habits, and just plans for the future have completly changed. Needless to say, hardbooting took over my life. Thank you all for making my first year on plates so awesome. Now, I'm just waiting for this 60 degree weather to go away so I could finally start using at least one of my three season passes. P.S.: yeah i'm defintly a post whore. Way more at the begining of last season as I am now. I had too much spare time last year. Here's to another kick ass, injury free season.

welcome to Bomber! Best thing to do is post you're own thread that you want one. I got really lucky with obtaining one, they're hard to find because they don't make them anymore. If you're board is an 03/04 model or later, a conshox is already built in to it.

well i stopped to help a kid when he yard saled and just stared while i got his stuff that was more up the hill. People who saw me put it on were just staring as well. There was actually a bunch of softbooters strapping and staring at my board instead. The ski patrol didn't think the idea was too hot though.

for a few runs, I wore an old Russian gas mask without the filter. Doesn't fog but I have no peripheral vision in that thing.

I'm getting a back guard for this season I hope. Most of the hills i go to are pretty crowded and i've had too many close calls with some straighliner going right over my board. And I always wear my helmet.

went to the 9pm show. Wasn't too bad. hour and a half film i'm guessing. Got some autographs from Kevin Bramble, who reps the US in the paralympics. Great guy who can really rip. Saw the monoski segment. I like how they said "each year, tens of monoskiers gather for monapolooza." Good exposure, and great job. I think they probably said "Off the grid" over a dozen times. Decent film to score some free schwag.

I have a permit to own a gun but not to carry, you need to be 21 here. My dad has a class A license. The way the situation happend wouldnt give you an oppurtunity to get the gun out unless you carry it with you all the time. In Mass, you have to either keep the gun on you all the time, or have it locked in a secure place. I know you New Hampshir-ites can buy guns at yard sales, which is kinda cool. I doubt next year I'll still get my class A (license to carry) but who knows. If we shoot a robber, we could actually get sued how that makes sense to anyone, I'll never know.
