  1. anything with a square tail is not allowed wich sucks imagine what would happen if they did that in skier x you would basicly force them all to ski on jib skis a few years ago I ran a border cross they did not like a Spline I had barrowed so I had to use my Canyon 173 it was retarted seeing as the spline has rounded corners at least the reasoning behind it was that a round nose or tail will deflect(off of body parts) easier than a flat surface I am sure it depends on who runs the event though
  2. I go to a narrower board stiff as I can find in the low 180s or so at speed they feel better than softer setups and the wide stuff knocks me around when its wet and chopped up the key points to my spring riding is go crazy fast ,keep it pointed down hill as much as possible and being careful not to bury that nose I find spring conditions to be a huge confidence builder very easy to ride in just not to lay out euros I realize I do the exact opposit of other riders go to soft, wide and short stuff but this is what I have found works for me
  3. no one sent me a email either Gilmour was the one most willing to give me info cant wait till 11/??/04 to try out my new Madd 170
  4. but they will not take the bail free feature for the toe you will have to use the included toe bails so it will be similar to the carier physics binding the heel part is the same shape as a intec heel where it connects to the boot
  5. a low end alpine model they had a whole series of cheesy decks by letter including the T deck(twin) and A deck(all mountain)
  6. the custom section of the coiler website has some wide stuff http://coiler.com/specs_c.htm but Bruce will do just about anything for you Just ask

  8. I think that the graphite helps keep the static down but its not nearly as slick as the silicone I actually used to not scape it untill it got full of dirt this only really worked when it was super wet at say 45 F or above at the moment I am using a fluro/molybdenum wax that is great in dirty wet snow but like I said the old holmenkol and swix are better for when it gets super warm/wet
  9. where can I find some silicone wax aditive like holmenkol makes reliable used to have it but does not any more or the old swix stuff was great as well or a comparable alternative I need somthing super slick for the spring Zardoz is not the answer for me I just do not think it works as well and it does not last as long
  10. or the PR 188 the 180 RC looks good as well I love the ride that bigger boards give and they demand a bit more from the rider but in my opinion thats a good thing so long as you have a quiver
  11. here is what it comes down to in my eyes coilers are a tad cheaper and much cheaper if you go full custom or even if you adjust the width coilers =damp easy going ride thats super stable at speed and holds a edge like no other on ice a real weapon if you race doneks= very lively boards that have a ton of snap and are quite torsionaly stiff but still hold a edge very well on ice that ads up to a board that is super fun to ride I have limited experience with both brands I have ridden only two coilers(18? PR and my board a 190 PR custom) and three doneks (a little FC II in the biggest Axis and I own a sasquatch 170 ya I know thats a soft boot setup but hey we all need a powder ride) I have put in a order for another Coiler so I guess I prefer those but doneks are great boards as well you can not go wrong with either
  12. the le mans is the same as the old raichle SB boots and those cants sucked the susuka is a tad stiffer with a much more modern construction
  13. when I say pow ride thats exactly what I mean here in the east a jib stick ( my sasquatch)is all I need in the wet fluff but when it get deep and dry like say in UT something esle would be more fun what I am really asking is those of you have ridden long boards and other stuff like swallow tails who can give a fair comparison of different types of these specialized rides I have had a long board(dough boy 193) and ridden a few more tankers and the big glissades liked the glissade the best how does a ST compare?
  14. it is a board that rips in most condition liked it much better than my dough boy it floated just as well due to the extra width and was way more managable in the trees the canyon 173 was great as well for the tighter east coast trees I now have donek sasquatch 170 great for higher speeds than the average board of its size it feels bigger than it is but I fear in the deep stuff I will need somthing bigger and a bit softer how big do the 4807s come? do you think the big rossi undertaker would be a good choice I am 250 lbs and 6 ft tall?
  15. what do you think is the best pow ride long boards for example lib tech dough boy or rad air tanker swallow tails like rossi undertaker or extreme taiper board like the burton fish or prior kyber what do you think is the best
  16. I am sure the maker of the TD2 will let you take out a demo pair he is in silverthorne CO
  17. in my home town had a car built if I remember correctly it was a race job that was refitted to meet all the MA laws for emissions and other assorted things his biggest problem was was the engine he had to go with a chevy because the recomended engine would not pass
  18. thats why I asked if it had a 3 hole patern if it did it would have to be a r-17
  19. r-17 maybe? Did it have the three hole patern?
  20. burton carrier are bad too soft just cheesy all the way around
  21. black I have a refill bottle (looks like something that crack would come in) and its a clear liquid rain x has silicone which is super fast when its wet swix made a silicone wax that stuff was slick as it gets on wet snow
  22. the burton fluros"comp speed wax?" were produced by dominator if I remember correctly and is okay very much like dominator stuff in fact but back to the point its great stuff
  23. great edge hold and super stable at speed
  24. they were okay did not break like my physics did junked four pair of those
