  1. Tigger; danke! I'll need to rebrush my german. its been so long since I last studied Deutsch! boosters; do I know you? I work with Ruth DeMuth occasionally as well as chair 12 last year.
  2. Tigger, do you know the name of the snowboard camp for the blind? Fin/Michelle, thanks! Perhaps we could hunch together and come up with an equipment with that mills of yours? hehe yep, that's how i found out about tandem snowboarding -- Europe. nils, i hope i can find video of that age (1988) somehow somewhat.
  3. Yea, Im into that kind of stuffs. Im working on entering BOEC (Breckenridge Outdoors Education Center for the disabled) internship program. got experience with those, too. :p :) Thanks, tho.
  4. For a start, he -IS- a surfer and a longboard rider. Long time resident of La-Jolla oughta tell/hint you that. His eyesights has dwindled badly the last few years. Been deaf all his life as much as I have. Does that still "exempt" him from the so-called special breed ? Mind you, we're still working on another angle to get him to be able to still surf and skateboard, too. He and I once did a team work -- me riding a bicycle while he holds to my shoulder and skate/longboard. So I had to be mindful on watching out those cracks/pebbles on the sidewalk (unless if the wheels are soft). I must say it brought me thrills/happiness/satisfaction I contributed to him to -stay- in the board sports, instead of confining him to "you can't do that anymore. sorry buddy." mentality.
  5. I think you're referring to the Team Summit boards ? I got 1990 Jan issue with a dude droppin' a cliff on an alpine Summit board. The farmer model Im thinking is the one with cow black and white color.
  6. This is -NOT- what I had in mind. What I had in mind was two person wearing hardboots riding on ONE long snowboard.
  7. And Kent, WHAT is cow tipping?
  8. Im gonna revive this thread. I wonder if this approach would be suitable, considering a friend/client of mine is deaf and blind. There's several ideas thrown on how to approach this angle. Tandem snowboarding is what I got in mind, and ideallistically, it looks very very apealling-- a long snowboard with hardboots with him behind me. Like two person on one motorcycle. Any comments, ideas ?
  9. Oh you got those? Ive consider gettin' those boards. Just a bit wee-bit too long for me. Im 5'10" and 200 lbs. I know that Mike Olson rides 'em considering how tall he is (HE IS TALL!) and he says he loves to ride on 'em. Im debating whether to get Dough Boy 193 or Grocer 180. We'll see. Turny-- 11 to 9 sidecut progressive. That's a bit turny. Is it still turny when youre carving on them ?
  10. Been a long time fan of Lib Tech Emma Peel 157/159 (depending which plates they decide to use for the year). they're consistently 8.0 meter sidecut which I so dearly love -- squirrely style of turning/carving, esp in halfpipe riding. Recently ordered 159 Scotty model of 04/05 Lib Tech. 8.2 sidecut radius should satisfy my cravings for squirrely turns. Debating on whether to get a Burton P1 Carbon bindings or Catek Freeride bindings or both for 04/05. Burton's big plus is the adjustment of the highback to parallel to the edges regardless of the angle it's tilted towards (I ride duckfeet). Catek's is of course, a nice hard carve esp can be used on alpine with 3rd strap or booster straps. Minus of Burton would be the angles for use on race boards, as well as Catek's feasibility to use on halfpipe riding.
  11. Well from my past experience at working at snowboard factory, all boards are out ready to ride to the -MINIMUM-. As in thin wax, etc.
  12. As far as I know, I've paid for mine at full price and is expecting it end of this month. -chuckle- in ebay, they wanted feedback from me. No way will I give feedback -UNTIL- I get the board.
  13. Congratulations! You now carry an official title "Sugar Daddy." :) Quite a cute baby, FYI!
  14. May I ask for their mailing address or fax/tele ph nbr? Search for 'em didn't cut it for me so far.
  15. Actually, you just gave me an idea. I know Mervin's got a large collection of video tapes. Ill ask a buddy there to see if he get it lended to me. Or I could go visit and ask another buddy if I could watch it back at the hotel. Hehe, they're gonna go freaky "Dont you dare loose it!" hehe (BTW: for those who dont know (excluding you D-Sub), Mervin MFG manufactures Gnu, Lib Tech and Supernatural)
  16. Guess Ill have to go hunt for Critical Condition snowboard video. Its one of a kind video tape, man. Thanks for being nostalgic with me. As for this undertaker, Ill keep an eye on this one and -maybe- get it.
  17. I'd like to buy one of those lib tech board alpine. I almost got one customized for me at the factory, but the die-cast's gone. :-/
  18. you mean the board with "FARMER" on the base ? Wasn't that a Sims board ?
  19. 1992 or 1993 Burton PJ7 Goofy Asym. Traded it last winter. I loved that board.
  20. Farmer? I nearly misread that as Shawn Farmer.
  21. I once saw Dave Downings surfing on the snow on a surfboard. Yes, literally. Looks like fun.

Whoa. What part of Summit county you live in? Perhaps we could meet? Unfortunely I wont go back home til Oct (live in silverthorne). Id like to check out this MLY 183 of yours.
  23. well since Im unable to PM you or email you, a little bird tells me you have exact IDENTICAL Sony Clie as I do? Whatcha got in it, may I ask? Im curious with yours and mine. A little bird also told me she had a good time with ya fairly recently (two weekends ago?). I look forward to find the time to browse thru the photos via bomber. :)
  24. well, im a bit spoiled -- got skiis, freestyle board (softboot settings) and hardboot boards. So I got plenty of options to pick, but it'd be a royal pain in the ass when it comes to travellin'. Anyhow, I find it more fun to carve on my old burton PJ7 as oppose to my Rossi. I wonder how itd go when I get my Madd158 and compare it to Rossi. I think Ill just leave hardboot to days of all day long session of carving whilst freestyle board/skiing for deep powder day. Doesn't hurt to be all round mountain rider/skiier
  25. I could go look around, like bulletin board at post office, or something like that and keep you posted. but one problem, im in albuquerque to work at a horse race for the time being. I could ask my girl and see ? Pls PM me your email address ?
