  1. guido season starts the first day of school. im ready to do abit of poaching if need be and the opportunity arises.
  2. the very same board im using /learning on. dont really have anything to compare it to as far as alpine goes but derfs assesment seems spot on.its fun but not an all mountain.
  3. i agree with you there 100%.spend alot of time in the trees (tight ,steep stuff) and prefer a smaller board when my friends and i are flying through that stuff its like a video game .the reaction time is nill and you need the short board for that. same goes for low brain cell park monkeys that pop out when you least expect it
  4. have spent my fair share of time on short track skates.you need big balls in any sport where its manditiry to wear a kelvar neck protector so you don't get your throat slit. both sports it's tactical and you have to have the guts to fight for positioning
  5. your going to feel more strain in the ankles with a lower cuff boot in the backcountry but there is the bonus of being lighter for skinnin
  6. and here i thought i was the only one thinking that.big white should have some good snow for awhile
  7. i've pretty much tried it all. in the end i prefer 325 hardboots on all my boards be it groomers for carveing or powder and trees on my freeride deck. the only time i use something different is with the splitboard where i use scarpa t2 tele boots(mad scientist here) as i agree with rob stevens about transition times and weight. i've never been able to fit a sled in my back pocket when going to rogers pass ;)
  8. hoping to do some backcountry on the backside of apex this year, but maybe love to try a few turns on the slopes if you want
  9. where do you ride? new to the carveing thing andl ooking to hook up with a fellow carver.i mainly ride big white.
