    overconfidence?

+1 on the bone stim off of ebay. After 2 and half months of my clavicle not mending finally got one that worked(took three trys)and was good to go after five weeks.
  2. It would be interesting to see the breakdown of labour/material costs etc for a custom board. The builder might be working for 4 bucks an hour if he's charging 100$ for his product:eek:
  3. Bankart repair left shoulder 12 years ago, sternoclaviclar dislocation around the same time(pushed that one in myself as the docs wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole). mid shaft displaced clavicle fracture in augest Total gym work for sure as the shoulder and sterno joint were good after this last crash.
  4. I'm with buell on this one.Test the backcountry waters and if your into it seriously consider the dynafit toepiece.I think Sparks R&D sells them individually and they've come down in price this year as well.
  5. I own a snow pulse air bag. top quality and the cylinder is charged by air. To me if your caught in a slide these thing keep you on the surface in the 90 percent range so well worth it if your out there alot. Bad thing is i seemed to becone the test dummy on all the suspect slopes last year so make sure all your friends have them too;)
  6. I use them for backcountry as i run the toepiece in the center for the uphill. Its hard to find a good at boot that gives you the right flex without doing mods to them. For meit took quitea bit of work to get them right but use them for everything now they are expensive and own only one set of boots.
  7. Losing 1500 is cheaper than losing your acl.Even if i was riding it after the fix couldn't trust it enough to push it so is it worth it.
  8. hey knock those funky spider arms off and stick a plate on it....... and make it a deep vee swally to boot

    Alexa Loo Retires

She will be a hard act to follow as she was a model athlete in my books. Wish her well in her future plans.
  10. Nothing a portable drill cant fix.;) Very interesting they made it so thin between the bindings.
  11. I've noticed that you placed the front axle in front of the binding placement. Wondering how you came up with that location as I have a similar setup and noticed the same suspension feeling you describe. Did you design that in mind and do you think having the axle more under the center of the binding will limit the cushioning effect.
  12. Kent is talking about your average wattage you would put out in one hour. Times that by 125% and do 6 reps at 4 min each. Intervals are a bitch but they make you faster.
  13. Riding in a group will get your overall fitness up.I view cycling as a team /social sport, you can do it alone but when you want to push it having someone else along with similar goals makes it so much easier. Use to live in Toronto and can remember the group rides that had 50+ out training in feb . Ask some of the local shops what cycling clubs in your area are and join one.
  14. Its true the Japanese have an alpine market as well as an industry that could be taped. Chinese manufacturing in general deal in large orders and this product could be the posterchild for the niche industry that North America is geared for. People have to understand though that manufacturing here is more expensive across the board and nobody works for free.
