  1. Baka, that one piece in the pictures you posted looks comfy and warm. I would totally wear one of those
  2. A one piece suit huh? no thanks sounds fun but expensive
  3. Matt, It would be a pleasure to ride with you however I am only a student and so I had to take up Wells Fargo on their student discount deal for winterpark & copper season passes. I want to go to some other resorts but after scraping together money for a hardboot setup I'm not sure I can swing any non-pass days. But if I can I will give you a call. If you are ever thinking about going to Copper for some reason I will gladly join you.
  4. I have heard people mention special clothing called sliding clothes? I have heard that for extreme carving you can opt to have special sliding clothes that will reduce friction from your clothes rubbing on the ground. Does anyone know anything about this?
  5. yeah I have seen some extremely graceful carvers out there. Bola sold me my boots and board. He also invited me to go riding with him someday, so maybe I will take him up on that. A couple months ago I checked out the list of teachers in Colorado and I'll do that again. By the way, what exactly is the "bomber crew"?
  6. Friday was my first day riding an alpine board and it kicked my ass, and my ankles, and my shins.. mostly my shins... I'm not sure if my boots were too tight or too loose but during part of the day when I was flexing my legs and ankles it seemed as though the boot was digging into my shins. Thinking about it now, I'm pretty sure it was because my boot wasn't tight enough.
  7. I live in denver. I've got a van and I go to copper about twice a week. I wouldn't mind going to winter park / mary jane either. That drive can be a pain twice a week, a carpool would be a welcomed experience. But I don't go up on weekends.
  8. Does anyone out there have any experience with the Tierny T-Boards? I am looking into them, wondered what others thought of them
  9. I have never been on a board with hard boots. I am currently learning how to carve with my softboots just because I don't have any other way to practice. Whenever I try to make really sharp turns my toe's or heel's catch and I skid out. I am curious as to what stance angles other people have used. I am at 20 15 but it's not enough, maybe I should try steeper.. yeah.. thats all
  10. A lot of well informed and experienced carvers out there helping out, thanks everyone! It sounds like I've got a go-ahead for mounting plate bindings on an all mountain board. The board I would be using is a Ride Theory length 159. It's extremely felxible and pretty short, I'm sure it's not the ideal board for hard boots but I really can't wait to try them out. Once again, this seems like a really friendly community going on here, glad to be here! Keep the polyethylene side down!
  11. I have been painstakingly saving money to get hardboots, bindings and an alpine board. At this point I have a set of TD1's on the way and within a week I will have enough money to buy a pair of Head srtatus pro's. Would it be "ok" to put the hardboot setup on my all mountain board to try it out untill I get a real carving board? Any thoughts? Pictures? ummm... Thanks
  12. I'd like the burgundy TD1's if they are still available . I've sent you and email. Thanks jason
  13. I'll take those non-spring bail bindings if they are still available. I've emailed you, thanks.
