  1. Okay, give me a day to solve the equation and I should have a boot size!
  2. I have a pair of Head Stratos Pros that I'm trying to sell, and I'm almost positive that they are mondo 28.5, but I don't know how to I should verify that. There is a number on the inside bottom of the shell that say 2 95. Does this have anything to do with the size? ? Help!
  3. I may be interested, very interested. Give me a call, 720-308-7906 Thanks Jason
  4. Do the Nideckers have any tilt or cant options?
  5. Don't worry man, Fatigue is for sissies. I've been riding my Freerides all season and the only drawbacks I've experienced are my jealous friends who always want to ride my board. You will NOT be dissapointed, unless you're a sissy. Edit: this message was directed at surfinsmiley, who I thought was the individual buying the freeride pros. However, don't be dissapointed, please.
  6. My toenail wasn't black anymore, but it was on it's way out!
  7. Sounds like a really great board, I've been looking for that model.
  8. The board is working out really well. It's ability to perform goes far beyond my capabilities. I can ride it as quickly and aggressively as I want and the board rides steady as a train. However, when I get on top of that steady train, I can wreck it. Board 100%, Me ~55%. Actually, I never took it in for a tune up :o , I did what I could on my own with the p-tex, and it turned out pretty good. It was basically in great condition to start with. I LOVE IT. I finally saved up enough to buy some Catek Freeride Pros for it and I've been riding it everyday. My hardboots are calling, but I'm having too much fun on the steep. Thanks again!
  9. I'll second the steepwater suggestion made by D-sub. As a matter of fact, I bought a steepwater "steep 171" from him a few months ago. I LOVE IT. I've never tried the air tankers, but I'm intrigued.
  10. The Nidecker carbon highbacks will fit, but some drilling to the heelcup may be necessary. Bola has a thread about this floating around somewhere, try searching for Bola and Catek.
  11. Well, I know that with a little drilling the current freeride pro's can be adapted for the carbon highbacks. And I know that I just bought a pair of new freeride pro's a couple days ago and now I'm kicking myself...!!
  12. I think that was a magnificent photoshop job. Are the bindings you have on it now freeride pros? If so, you could sell those for some new plate bindings.
  13. Regardless of gender, camel-toes are EFFING GROSS
  14. If an engineering breakthrough is the only thing that can improve my riding, well, I should just give up now. It seems as though Lib Tech is promoting expensive equipment in place of proper technique. While I believe it's important to push the limits and think out of the box, I think this particular product is a marketing gimmick.
  15. Crap, I don't check the classifieds for two days and I miss a great deal. Shucks
  16. I spent $150 on a "student" season pass to Copper Mountain and Winter Park. Tomorrow will be my 4th day on the mountain. It's already paid for itself. What are season pass prices like in the other states? My dad lives in Anchorage Alaska, and the local resort there (Alyeska) charges $1,000 for a season pass! Yikes! Anyways, I think it's worth it to buy a season pass, especially if you plan on using it.
  17. I'm jealous of all of you that are so happy with your hardboots. I started riding hardboots last year, and they still f***ing hurt my feet and legs so badly that I'd rather be watching TV when I take my hardboots on anything other than a perfectly groomed run. And even when I'm on a perfectly groomed run, if I'm not functioning at the highest possible performance, those violent frequencis, or, chatter, effing kill me. It could be my boots, but I've had them fitted, and god da**it, they cost $400! At this point I'm riding in my old vans with a no name set of bindings on a steepwater. Although it sucks, it's comfortable, and I don't want to kill myself at the end of the day. I'm taking into consideration selling my head stratos pros, keeping my plate bindings and waiting till I'm rich to seek an alternative hard boot.
  18. That's for darn sure. I guess the Holiday season may not be the best time to be selling $350 toys. Wait it out..
  19. I'm suprised no one is interested in these. I guess I won't try selling my slightly used pair yet...
  20. I'm in the market for Catek Freeride Pros. I'm saving up money to buy them brand new, but I thought I'd throw out a thread to see if anyone has any leads on a used set. I'd also be interested in any leads regarding just Catek freerides (-pros).
  21. haha, wow, talk about great interpersonal communication skills! ;)
  22. Alright, I've got booster straps, and I've been using them, but probably not well enough. I need to buckle down and really tighten up my upper cuffs. I'm going to a boot fitter next weekend, and I am looking into getting a different board that will be more forgiving on my poor technique. I'm riding a 159 nidecker SL right now, and I'm 6'0 200lbs. So, maybe a larger board would be appropriate, but then again, maybe not. we'll see. Thanks everyone!
  23. tilledog, I think you nailed it. I'm pretty sure it's bad technique that's killing my shins. "Violent frequencies" is a perfect way to describe the situation. So, aside from not sucking, I need to mash tiger balm into my tibialis medialis during the season. I can do it. Thanks for the tips
