  1. Was up on Tuesday between dropping the kids off at school and picking them up so only a couple of hours. Only three rows of parking were taken up when I got there around ten. Perfect spring conditions! Yeah I know it's the beginning of January... Just did laps on Star (HRX was closed) and was great. When I left at about 12 it was getting a bit soft/choppy but would've stayed for another hour or so if I could've. Great morning of riding but boy do we need some base, saw a lot of dirt.
  2. 55 started 20 years ago on Clickers, 12 years in HB's
  3. Hey Dan I'm thinking Saturday too. Let's talk about pooling it.
  4. Tanker is SOLD Just happened to get on the same chair as John. Crazy coincidence!!!
  5. Thanks Brian Well... Slipped- write back on the board when you get to Meadows. I'll bring the board just in case.
  6. Hey Dan if I could catch a ride I'd be up for Sunday...
  7. Hi Scrapster, just listed a Tanker 172RR. might not be want you want since its a reverse rocker (basically flat with no camber) but thought I'd bring it to you attention. Pretty much new, it has about 5 days on it. let me know if you're interested and I'll get some pics up on the board. $425 ($899 list). Kelvin
  8. Also forgot to mention the $425 includes shipping within the USA Here's some reviews on the review board. Have a 2011/12 Tanker 172 RR (reverse rocker) to sell. I loved the board but I think I need something smaller to fit me (5'6" 18.5" stance). With my stance width I'm kind of stuck in the middle of the board and would like to be able to set back in certain circumstances. It has about five days on it the normal binding mounting scuffs (ran it with F2 titanflex bindings). There's a small (1/4" dia.?) dent in the ptex otherwise it's perfect. Got it new from RJ at exotic boards. If you need more photos or details just ask...
  9. Wanna play hooky from work next week! When are folks going to the hill?
  10. Got signed off by my physical therapist on my Achilles heal recovery and hit the hill yesterday. Was awesome to be back on the board and the snow. I've never seen Stadium with exposure this late into the Season. It's a bit scary how little precip we've gotten this year. But with that said snow on the hill (where it was) was great yesterday, way better than what I expected. I waited til noon to be at Meadows and got there just as they were re-opening Main Lot which was good because I wanted to test out the legs on the bunny hill before going whole hog. No probs on Buttercup so on to the bigger stuff. First hit Vista side but was totally fogged in with what seemed like about 30ft visibility, so headed East where I settled into SS and Voyager for a whole bunch of runs. Snow as almost perfect but half of SS was taken up by race school so it wasn't the wide open run that we all love. The achilles was a non issue just the muscles around it were like noodles, so just lasted a couple of hours. Was a great day getting back on the board though and looking forward to hooking up with folks on the hill this late winter and spring!
  11. Thanks for the advice sunsurfer. I know about the addiction issue from the experience of our favorite clown Rush (probably an unnecessary political insertion but couldn't resist , apologies if I offend). Doing relatively small doses so shouldnt be an issue. Plan on doing the oxy (5mg) only to bridge the initial post op pain. Was prescribed Ketorolac as the NSAID of choice and will be ending that in a few days (5 days max). Seems like the pain of coming off the block was more than the pain from the actual surgery but that might be me just getting used to the pressure of the dressing and boot. It feels better already about a day and a half after surgery. Will keep a close eye on the pain levels and feeling around the Achilles site for indications of infection. Thanks again! Kelvin
  12. Man, that would be awesome! I'll email u this week. The surgery went without a hitch and it turns out that it was a complete rupture. Had a nerve block and it's just wearing off now (about 15 hrs after surgery). Not sure how its going to feel after I can actually feel the ankle but I have a whole lot of oxy to manage the pain.
  13. Not really worried about speed. That went away about a decade ago already. :o I just want to be able to get down the hill! It'll probably mean some adjusting on the bindings to minimize the impact on the Achilles but like I said before I'm hoping that since it's my front foot the impact will be minimal. Thanks with the good wishes!
