  1. http://oes.cat/index.php/en/our-production/junior/junior/120sl Mine is a little narrower than specs on website: 22.3, 17.8, 21.1 cm width.
  2. I have an OES 120 but maybe too small.
  3. What's the one piece of kit that has changed your riding the most? For me, it's a tough call between BTS and my Donek Rev, but I'll tip it in favor of the Rev. I picked up a 157 Rev for beer league racing this year. I love my Coiler, but I wanted to try something a little turnier and built for racing. What I was not expecting was that it would become my favorite all-around board. The softer flex, tighter radius, and shorter length of the Rev makes it effective in bumps and steeps, while being damp enough to carve through chop. I used to ride <50% hardboots, but thanks to the Rev, I have moved firmly to the dark side.
  4. Maybe teenagers are not unique in fabricating facts to look like experts to their peers, but they sure are louder about it in the lift line. "you can turn the bindings in any direction, and they pop out like ski bindings" Bzzzz!
  5. I stand corrected. It looked like under Southern Cross at Stevens. Silver Fir is my default starting point at Snoqualmie. We'll have to make some turns together.
  6. That's about right for the Seattle area resorts. Looks like you're a Stevens local. I spend most of my time at Snoqualmie or Crystal. It may feel like it, but you are not alone.
  7. As I approached a ski race instructor and a pack of his young charges... Instructor: Cool! An offset monoski! Me: It's actually a snowboard. Instructor: You have ski boots. That's definitely an offset mono! Me: You have no idea how much it pains me to hear you say this.

    BTS - yellow

Anyone looking to unload their BTS with yellow springs?
  9. Took my son out for his first runs on hardboots yesterday. He struggled through a few runs before switching to softboots, then said, "Hardbooting makes me ride softboots better." I said something similar when I first started hardbooting. Creepy. He's going to try again, so I'll call it a success!
  10. There have been seasons when I have seen no other hardbooters locally, so my son will effectively double the population of the village. I was a part-time instructor in the past so there's a temptation to go into training mode, but it's always good advice to focus on fun first.
  11. @pmorita - Are you going to put your kid on hard boots? Crickets here. I think I found a tiny niche among a niche sport.
  12. My 10 year old started snowboarding last year, and after years as a mediocre skier, was hitting legit double blacks by end of one season. Now he has decided independently to try hardbooting. I would love to hear some stories from other parents about the transition to hardbooting for their kids. How old? What have you done to promote their growth on hardboots? FYI, up in the PNW, racing gates is just for skiers. If you had luck convincing ski race programs to take on a snowboarder, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!
  13. "Those are modified Clickers", said some teen behind me with authority, referring to my TD3 SW SI's. I like to play the local ambassador of the sport, but this was misinformed in so many ways that it was just not worth the bother.
  14. My son wants to try hardboots. Crazy kid. Let me know if you have anything that might work for a kid's first carving board. Thanks!
  15. Would be interesting to try Step Ons with Ion boots.

    Bomber Power Plates

Actually $220 is a price set when there was stock. Meanwhile, TD3 prices have gone up since, so don't expect the Power Plate price to stay even if they come back in stock. I am willing to sell separately. Reasonable offers considered.
  17. I have decided to go au naturel, so selling my power plates. 0 and 3 degree cants Soft e-rings $260 plus shipping

    Carving stickers

Without any context, people will wonder why you have a sticker of someone in mid crash.
  19. @barryj I met Jim and Angie at ATC. I'm not disputing that they were nice. Nor am I disputing that they had good intentions when they bought Bomber. But we're not taking about a starving mother stealing food for her baby. Their actions were deliberate and had real victims. I just don't think they deserve much sympathy.
  20. Good people don't steal. Embezzlement doesn't just happen.
