  1. I will get in touch with you via phone or email to see how the heck ya been. Been trying to get as many days as feasible considering the odd season so far. I hope all is well and I will also be working on a new press design for next summer.

It's good that you got to hang with some folks to ride. where were you at??? I am hoping to get to Seven Springs sometime this season, if so we need to hook up there.

Got a new board I am in love with this season so I may be going SL boards for tight east coast trails and meatgates for my builds next summer.

I need to get all of my templates and router bridge supports done via CAD. I used all hand cut stuff this past su,mer and my core turned out good, but it can be better.

I'll get in touch with you, until then enjoy this storm we are getting, if it can be called that.

    Later

PS sweet on the boot device. When I looked at my riding buddies new ones from Bomber, I immediately thought of you and said, Chuck could make that. Looks like some of the suspensions from Baja 1000 Trophy Trucks

  2. seeking anyone who has connections for concert venues on the east coast. Tool is playing three locations here; Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ, Bryce Jordan in State College and Sovereign ctr., Reading in april. looking to score some good tix or even backstage passes. Pulling any stiring I can get my hands on.

Couldnt make it out today, my hips are messed up feeling arthritic. this happens to me about 3 times per year, where my joints just ach like a mother. It came on yesterday while I was visiting some job sites with a customer. Hobbling around still today, hoping it dissipates soon.

Went out Thursday morning two runs, enough to realize conditions were bad and bagged it.

Let me know how it was today. Maybe head out Sunday pending on how my hips feel.

    Greg

PS Have any remedies for this condition?? I use to take glucosamine chondritin (sp) but stopped.

  4. It is high aspect, line length I will need to pull it out to measure. 4 line. I am 210 and NJ winds are not as high in other places. If I were try and get back into it, I would go with a 12m.

I will defer to willywhit if more technical questions come up. He was very informative when I was shopping.

  5. After Fin OK and hope that someone is interested. I have the above kite for sale for any enthusiasts, especially you Willy or any of your friends.

    If interested please email me.

Kite is in excellent condition with bag, bar, lines and pump. Bought it for a summer board sport, but never followed thru.

    Let me know

    Greg

PS Also considering selling my unridden Hyperlite Parks Bonifay 143 wakeboard.

  6. Kimo

Just wondering what your symptoms are or will be in a couple weeks. I plowed a medicine ball sized death cookie to my left thigh a few weeks ago and the bruising has disappeared and I'm not limping anymore, but if I try to kneel with knees on ground and butt on heels, I get a good shot of pain through the bone area.

I'm back to riding hard again but only get that pain when I kneel.

Didnt feel like getting x-rays, but pondering it now, probably too late any way. I just dont need to be walking to get the mail and my left thigh pulls a Burt Reynolds Deliverence on my in the front lawn.

Hope you heal quickly and how did it happen?

    Thanks

    Greg

  7. Used Coiler Pure Race 188

    Script on sidewall- 188 PR 19-5 0245-7.3

    Specs:

    170 cm running length

    15.7M turning radius

    4mm tail taper

    7.3 coiler stiffness index

    Options:

    19.5 cm waist,

    Extra reinforcement around the inserts.

I only have about 3 hours on it and picked it up used at the end of last season. Hate to get rid of it, but simply a bit too much for the skinny trails at Blue Mt.

Red top sheet with check line from tip to tail. Base in great condition along with edges. Top sheet edges slightly dinged on nose. Slight marks from previous owners bindings. Solid board but a bit too dangerous for our trails here. It would love open groomers.

    Asking $300 shipped.

    Thanks

    Greg

PS Don't know why topsheet shows black streaks, board is red with no black streaks, only marks from former owners bindings, misc scratches. One topsheet edge ding along left side, about 1"x 1/16".

  8. Out this morning on the POGO. Made my head swell. Cant get over how well that little beast runs.

No more Coiler, putting it up for sale.

    crowded by 10:30

    Mainstreet was killer

Razor was truly a sheet of ice at top due to wind scour(sp?) but nice at the bottom. Falls was smooth and Challenge looked smooth.

Almost t-boned by an idiot video taping while he was skiing down the hill. Suprising ly I refrained from not verbally laying into him. Saw him out of the corner of my eye laying into a toeside and pulled up just in time not to get hit by him.

Should be out in the morning.

Dress warm, the wind has been brutal.

    Greg

  9. Just in time for the ski team to have it. HAd the Coiler out today. It isnt one for the faint hearted. Stiff as hell and doesnt want to be babied. Either you commit fully to the thing or it will buck you off. Wasnt too swift in those little rollers, but on the smooth stuff on Mainstreet, doing 4-5 linked laid out euro carves. Wish that mogul field wasnt there.

I will be back out Friday. Let you know how it goes.

    Trux

  10. I was out this morning.

    Windy

    Bitter

3-4" of packed groomed powder (west coast type snow)

Hero snow in certain areas Main street was epic. threw down a few sets of EC turns. first time I have done that. :biggthump

Too bad the groomers dont ride and know enough that those 2-3" ridges from each grooming pass wreak havoc for carvers. Undulating the whole way across Razors and Challenge. Real fun in the shadows. Even when the sun hit it, still too many ridges to wrestle with.

I dont know if there is anything we can do as riders to request better grooming, but if groomers cant make it seamless after a decent snowfall ,there is little hope.

Have Big Daddy from RT give those ding dongs a call. :smashfrea

  11. But not having known who built the gagrage board I wouldnt know any different whether it was his first board or his billionth. I was under the impression from the first post that there was another budding builder out there, so that's why I inquired the way I did.

Only having been in alpine 3 years, I do not know the in's in out's of the boards and their makers. Learning? yes ! knowing everything? No!

I wouldnt expect a long term builder to cough up any secrets, but I was under the impression he was new to building, thus the inquiry. If he does, good for me, even though that isnt what I am after. I was more interested in speaking to another new builder, just to hear his experience.

I will go back to my VP of manufacturing and let him know I wont be getting any trade secrets that will change our production line for the day. :p

I do however dig that he is "contra", I havent had the chance to ride a garage or Identity, but look for to it someday.

  12. I would be interested to chat. Looks like I do need to buy that heater for my garage to get my first board pressed. Sub 60F not good on the epoxy I am using. I dig the graphics, lime green or not, it's got a good look.

I will be my own test pilot.

Nice work though. INteresting he would go with a 195 for his first board.

    Greg

  13. JBS, RT doesnt look good at this point. Day 3 and I am still lollipoping around. Sit down for more than 1/2 hour and it stiffens up like a school boy in third period math. How do you expect me to win Gold again this year, if I am not 100% ? :D

Stairs??????? Tell me about it. Call me one step Willie. OUCH!!!!

My other favorite is getting in and out of the car with a pegleg. Propping the a$$ on top of the seat to wedge myself to flip my leg into the car, because I cant bend the mother.

Trying to stretch it each day, and will need to do the balm and heat, just been on the road for work since it happened, which hasnt helped.

All good stuff and I thank you guys.

I will let you know about riding. I knew better. I was on the Riot going down Switchback. A little tight needless to say. The day before, I was running the Riot on Razor. Top was a bit mean, but mid to bottom was sweet.

Played rugby for three seasons in college, so I know what you mean there.

Cant take ibupro, b/c my upper lips has th tendency to balloon to oscar meyer size link. Working that out with my allergist.

    Gotta Run

  14. Folks,

I introduced myself to one of those grooming machine snow boulders yesterday, when I decided to run my larger SCR board on a tight trail. About carve #8, I veered ever so slightly from groomed trail into a pile of these giant death cookies and hit my lead leg thigh, dead center going full bore. Been gimpin' around for about 36 hours hopped up on tylenol (sp?), frequent icing, elevation and even witch hazel.

No Deliverence bones sticking out, so I dont think its broke

Anything else I can do? To expedite the healing process?

Just when it started getting cold here in PA, ARGH!!!!

    BRING OUT THE GIMP!!!!!!

  15. Cold, brutally windy (to the poiunt of freezing spit in the corners of my mouth) and hard pack cord.

Top of Razor was a bit blind and trecherous (sp), but after first headwall, behind trees was good (no wind). Mid to lower Razor was nice. Open carving, had the slope to myself for about the first hour of the day. Bottom of mountain windy.

Mainstreet closed at top for snow making.

Hope to be out Tuesday Morning.
