  1. Sorry Masahiko, that is a small plate. I'm looking for a plate that measures 21.6cm. Thanks Cory, they still teach the metric system here in the states, for some reason we like to do things the hard way.
  2. As long as I can use them on my bases and my boots its a deal. I have two sets of small, one used, one new. Can you send a pic of plates with a ruler lined up on them to make sure they'll work?
  3. Looking for a set of large plates for bomber .td3 ststandard. I have recently purchased a new set of bindings from bomber requesting large plates. I was sent small plates with longer bails but still no fit. Bomber informed me that they no longer make large plates and I could return my new bindings if I choose, hoping someone out there can hook me up.
  4. Look for the big guy with the white camo coat at K-1 come 9 am. Looking to practice turns and play in what I hope is some fresh all natural snow.
  5. The video does not look low end and from what I can see of the shadow neither is the heli. I wish someone could tell me more so I can get one.
  6. I love my rc airplane, what camera system do the use for this and is it recorded or transmitted?
  7. Saturn Ion 2, plenty of room for my vokyl 178, friends snowboard 163 and the boys gear and boys, back seat has fold down and when there are passengers in the rear the boards fit between the crack base to base, 32 mpg and plenty of power to get up up the hill. I almost bought the vue but it was extra vertical not extra length.
  8. I was still riding my Burton PJ till last season when I snapped the mousetrap binding last spring. I believe it is a 91 model, I bought it from a college friend in 92. If anyone out there has those old burton bindings I would love to get it back on the hill. It looks so sad being used as a shelf.
  9. October 29, 2011-April 11 2012. 75 days total. 2 were at Stratton ECES and the rest were at Killington. 5 of those days were powder days, which isn't bad for Vermont. This winter was a big dissapointment in terms of natural snow. It's got me thinking about a splitboard and moving out west. Speaking of splitboards, anyone have suggestions for a setup for a big guy(250lbs, 6'1). I'de like to keep the boots and binding setup I have(TD3 and solomon skiboot) and stick to something like my prior 4wd. Hiking through three feet of powder to the untouched tops of mountains here is a LOT of work.
  10. Being a Vermonter and a dedicated hard booter that found his lost tribe @ stratton this year, I would go to eces every year. I would love to assist in organizing the event, and not sure how people feel about killington, I would love to see it there. If not there, then stratton is next best for me. Even if demo's are a difficulty I think it would be better for the sport in general if people saw large groups of carvers on the mountain every year. That way they would stop asking me what I was doing and start asking where they could find equipment to try it. By the way, when they do ask where I get my gear, I always tell them bomber.
  11. I ride a renn tiger 178 gs, I was using a 20 year old pair of rossi board boots from back in the day when rossi made carving boards. beggining of this year they developed a crack on he top and I replaced them with a pair of dalbello ski boots. I broke the toe off those the first day, I went and got a pair of salamon 770 that same day and can honesly say that I love them more than my rossis. I demoed a pair of snowboard boots from bomber here at eces this year and thought they were too soft. I should also mention that when the cord is gone sometimes I switch to skis. Biggest things you want to watch for is that your plates are big enough to fit the boots and that you don't hang over the edge of you board.
  12. When I go somewhere that I know I can't keep an eye on my ride I use a cable gunlock. I first tried it out after the gunlock wouldn't fit my rifle. It's 1/4 inch stainless steel cable with a plastic coating and uses a key. It also fits in my pocket with minimal weight. But mostly at Killington I can watch it, and I've seen what happens to thieves in vermont, it's not pretty and it's not legal, but after being beat up by half a dozen people and then getting cuffed and stuffed by the Trooper who is also kinda rough on them I think they tend to stay away.
  13. I was at ECES Thursday and Friday, needless to say there was an interesting combination of conditions those two days. I demoed three boards and a pair of boots. Board one- Donek Axxess. This board was really heavy compared to my Voekl. It was really nice on top of the snow, but when I went to carve a turn it dove down into the soft stuff and was a lot of work to get into the next turn, I took one run and went back for the next one. Board two- Prior ATV. This was recomended to me after some discussion. I think if the powder had been a little fluffier I would have went home with it. It was nice and light, fairly responsive and fun to turn on. I took two runs and went back and waited for the next board I wanted to try. Board three- Prior 4x4 174. At this point the snow had gotten really choppy, I didn't mind at all. It was all I could do to bring this one back, I went all over Stratton on this one and even took it into the edges of the woods to try out what little fresh powder was left. When I brought it back to the tent at 2 I asked for a price. There seemed to be some confusion as the person responsible for the price was still out playing. I said "no big deal, I'll go out on my Voekl and make sure things are ok uphill, I'll be back before lifts close." When I got back there was still no answer on the price. I wasn't too worried about it, Friday was another opportunity. Well don't you know that by the end of Friday I had managed to twist my ankle at the bottom and was more concerned with getting my foot out of boot before it had to be cut. Needless to say an e-mail to Michelle at Bomber was all it took to find out where that 4x4 went and it is on it's way to it's new vermont home. Can't wait to get that out on some packed cord.
  14. An interesting debate to be sure. I am a FIRM believer that if your uphill your responsible for hitting someone below you, no matter what. Here in Vermont we get a lot of people who ride like they drive, if you've ever been to southern NY or northern NJ you know what I'm talking about. I have had people hit me from behind and get thier clocks cleaned from the impact, (I weigh 260 without gear), they recover and apologize. I would feel terrible if I did that to someone else, that would mean I was out of control, worse yet I would be setting a bad example for my boys who ride with me half the time. I have to say that if you can afford to be on the mountain, and you can afford to be careless, you should be able to afford replacing someone's board if you wreck it. If the day ever comes where it happens to me you can bet I'll pony up the money.
  15. Twisted my ankle at the ECES on Friday, minor fall playing in the egde of the woods that pulled just right on my foot. I almost had to have help when I got to the lot getting my boot off. Worst part is I missed the best weekend of the year here in vermont and it looks like warm weather will be here before I can go back out.
  16. 46. Mike Halliday: both(been down a course once)
