  1. Yes, this is no secret - Schtubby X2 = 13.2m, Safari = 14m. 14m works great for me. Had a 13m board once and at Sugarloaf it was just in no-man's-land all the time. Too long and too short at the same time, if that makes any sense.
  2. great stuff everyone! Lots of real impressive pics. ok, so I guess the eye candy should go <i>in</i> the thread... pic by Bob Jenney pic by Ben Schurman
  3. Mine's here: http://www.madd1.com/technology.htm photo by Ben Schurman
  4. Couldn't you then do what the detainees do on CSI? "Am I under arrest?" - "no" - "then I'm leaving. good day sir."
  5. Good to hear from you Mozz, best wishes to your wife!
  6. wow... check out the pics... http://www.sugarloaf.com/TheMountain/DailyReport/index.html (can't embed them here anymore because they went to a $%ing Flash display)
  7. Wow. What can a cop do if you're speeding on your bicycle, and you don't have any ID? Ok, then we'll also have to outlaw obesity, smoking, and drinking.
  8. Sweet. The Dice website specifically mentions working with the car's nav system. iSimple's does not, and, they don't sell online. Dice wins. thanks.
  9. Yes, separate tweeters up high make a significant difference. However I would think you'd be able to start with 2-ways in the door and see how you like it. Then add the tweeters later if you want. At that point, if having 4 tweeters became a problem, you could just snip the wires feeding the tweeters in the doors. For the money I think Boston Acoustics are a great value.
  10. skategoat, thanks for all the tips, I appreciate them very much. Keep 'em coming. I plan to do basic maintenance myself, hopefully I can teach myself brake work. bimmerforums.com has an e46 specific forum, but there's nothing keeping me there I guess, other than my glorious 72 post count. Question - I was thinking of getting either the Dice or iSimple iPod kits, but I have the nav system (http://images.autotrader.com/images/2008/3/31/240/381/6645045463.240381815.IM1.09.565x421_A.316x421.jpg) do you know if one is better than the other with that?
  11. Thanks. I'm on bimmerforums.com, seems pretty good. I'll check out that one though. Are you there? This indy shop is up the road from me, thought I'd take it there: www.autowerkesmaine.com Although it has the factory extended warranty until May '09, so I'll be at the dealer till then I guess.
  12. Picked her up on Friday 4/25/08... 2003 330xi, 38,800 miles, 6 speed manual, all wheel drive, Harmon Kardon stereo, leather, nav system... yeehaw! My friends are teasing me for buying such an expensive yuppie car, but they quickly become very supportive and intrigued when I tell them the price... $21,500! Well, all except for John (TT) of course.
  13. look for longer length and longer sidecut radius. A longer radius will allow you to chill out and "surf" more, without always wanting to turn.
  14. wait... those dampening panels are mounted asym. I'm out.
  15. $175,100.00 http://news.bostonherald.com/news/regional/general/view.bg?articleid=1089374
  16. Bidders can be approved by contacting the seller via email or offline. But yeah, it raises an eyebrow. huh? Are they behind it now, or were they "in on it" from the beginning, before the shirt went in the ground? portfolio down lately?
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120248650648&tr=y&auid=3582588 started at $500.
