Except that's not always true. (post 17)

    The code

the only time the downhill skier does not have the right of way is if they are entering the trail or starting from a stop.
  4. The Loon crew is tops, you'll be able to learn a lot from them. There is some reading in the links below to get you started. Good luck!

  8. Donek Blade 170. Stock version is 22.5cm at the waist. Although it's a square tail if that matters. Or, http://www.bomberonline.com/store/boards/Swoard.cfm Or cowboy up and go custom. Coiler, Donek and Prior operators are standing by. You're in a niche with that waist preference.

    Ski Boots

Tempting, thanks for the tip. What does Dr. Beckman say? Although I think they got it wrong with that ankle strap. Should be a cable. Also I ride step-ins, so snowboarding in them isn't a factor.

    Madd 180 !!

I had a 180 with yellow sidewalls, so.... *shrug*. I said they'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands... until I tried a Coiler NSR 185. The new tech is better, but for the old tech this thing was tops. On good groom it was a s-eating grin machine. Best $475 you could spend on a longboard.

    Ski Boots

I will probably be able to count on one, maybe two hands how many days I will ski this year, so the Banshee sounds good. What time at NR? Name - I didn't even know! Man I should get a discount!

    Ski Boots

Thursday, yes! Novare Res? I do have an extra Intec cable, but it is at the loaf, and one of us will have to figure out how to extract it from a faulty Fin-Tec prototype. Never tried Head. (boots)

    Ski Boots

re: Tecnica, just thinking of something on the wide side. Wish I could go Dalbello Krypton, but my Dad's look narrower than a ski. I just need something in which to ski with the kids. Skidding an alpine snowboard around at kid speeds is dumb. Not looking to come out of NASTAR retirement or anything. Derek, that would be great. Heading up to Portland any time this week?

So I can ski with my kids. Size 28. Lange, Technica would be nice.

2nd in line for the TD2s, please contact me, thanks.
  18. Every year, somebody here says they want to do this. Congratulations on being the first to actually make it happen!

    Madd 180 !!

Augh, such a great board. If I could justify owning redundant boards I'd scoop this up. Well worth the asking price.
  20. Thanks Colonel. I'll tell him. Hey Jason, at least we're bumping your thread! :D
  21. ah, I was hoping for the 21cm version. I'm out.
  22. First in line. (for a friend) Waist width?
  23. My PGS-derived 185 is the perfect longboard. Hoping my new SG 163 will be the perfect short board. However, my do-everything board is a 170/21/14, which would never be found in any race course. Don't worry, we couldn't afford those either! I think Donek, Coiler, and Prior are doing a great job of giving us more accessible race-derived tech.
  24. Oh okay, didn't realize you were already making carves happen in your softies. Then sure, try the HB's first if you want. If you just can't get any joy, then maybe switch back to the softies and get a refresher on carving on familiar gear. FYI, softbootsailer (sic) does not use hardboots, so I'm not sure what qualifies him to say warming up on softboots before hardboots is ridiculous. Now, trying hardboots without already knowing how to carve in softboots would be ridiculous. Glad you're past that point! Whoah! :D
  25. Both. What is gilmour bias? ;)
