  1. I mostly agree with D.T., but John E's point about twice the crush zone is a factor. For one thing it means that scenario would have slightly higher odds of survival.
  2. www.donek.com. Google works too.
  3. Where it says "new here? check out our Welcome Center and FAQs" I checked your profile, you have signatures turned on, so, see below! Welcome and good luck!
  4. Made it "Eastern Time Zone South/West" for ya. We tend to overlook places with no mountains or ocean, but we'll help ourselves to your wallets. :-/
  5. Listen cable guy, I live in southern Maine ok? (and that is a major distinction if you ask northern Mainers!)
  6. Check out the links in my signature. :)
  7. No dude, you're in Eastern Time Zone South... duh! ;)
  8. I'd suggest 175 and consult with Sean on the radius.

    Alpine coaster

Google/Youtube for "Alpine Slide". It's more like a summer bobsled, not like that new monorail thing. At a glance I see one at Park City. There is one out here in New Hampshire at Attitash ski area. I've done it a few times, it's great fun. You sit on this little cart that has plastic sliders on the bottom. You control it with a throttle/brake lever between your legs. Push forward and wheels go down lifting half the sliders off the track. Pull back and rubber brakes go down. Let the lever rest in "neutral" and neither the wheels nor brakes contact the track, just the sliders. These guys are going pretty slow at first, but you get the idea. (There is no crash landing or wipeout, not sure what they're talking about. I don't know these people. But yes, it is very possible to leave the track if you don't use the brakes.) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TxRYFh73jcQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. Mine had a tendency to hook the nose and toss me over the bars.
  11. Yeah I know where it is, I guess I'm always fuzzy on where the east/west line is in Europe ever since that convenient wall came down! ;)
  12. Forum limits choices to 10. Finland = West Europe.
  13. bout time for another one of these...

  15. The first scene is a little misleading. It looks like the Malibu practically impales the Bel Air relatively unscathed. This is because it's an offset head-on crash - driver's side to driver's side. The first scene shows the passenger side of the Malibu and the driver's side of the Bel Air, so the Bel Air looks a lot worse. The overhead view tells the story more fairly. But the overall outcome is still pretty astonishing.
  16. Sweet boards MD. Just wondering, why Vist and not a Boiler Plate or something like that? I think I've figured out why I like the SG cheetah graphics... similar theme as my beloved Safari!!!
  17. No judgment here my friend! Live it up!
  18. Awesome. Just curious why you sprung for the pro team graphics...?
  19. I have a Boiler Plate. I'll try it on the SG, but I'm pretty sure it's going to live on my 185. No difference between the ProTeam and the Full Race T other than graphics. jsyk.
  20. :D So the board came with a brochure, and they only list a single radius number, 11.8m. I'm assuming this means the tail radius, and that SG's have a VSR/clothoid/scrumtrulescent sidecut shape like Kessler.... yes??
