  1. IMO, softboot carving is very different from hardboot carving. Softbootsailer, jburrill, and Rob Stevens would be good resources for this.
  2. Yeah, they're great fun. Just don't go too fast. http://bomberonline.com/resources/Bomberfiles/summer_carving.html
  3. Thanks for checking in, Lee. Good luck with your endeavors!
  4. I do recall reading about some collaboration between Kemper and Aggression.
  5. WinterGold for the win! I'd always wanted to see a pic of that board! Pretty sure Apex was '91. I recall it was the same vintage as my PJ7, and a comparable/competitive model. Pretty sure the same goes for the Aggression Stealth.
  6. Yeah, Fin is dealing with VB support on this. In the mean time, google works better than VB search ever did. Enter site:bomberonline.com and then your search terms into google and voila.
  7. Yeah, see the board in question looks just like the board on the far left here, which was definitely a '90s model, just different graphics.
  8. There is this, although it's admittedly not 100% complete: http://www.bomberonline.com/resources/Bomberfiles/brief_history.html
  9. Ever craft a gem of a post and then click the wrong button only to see it vanish in the blink of an eye? Use the "Restore Auto-Saved Content" button! Here's how: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JK4oDgDicW8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. I can't get to the FB thread, link seems broken. It really looks like a 90's board, but with special graphics, team-only perhaps. I was lusting for the 1990 PJ and reading Transworld like the bible, I would think this Sims would have crossed my radar.
  11. Wow, this would be news to me. I always thought Hooger Booger was the first, in about 1988. That Sims shape looks very advanced for 1987. Aside from the inserts of course. The shape looks a lot like Sims Asyms from the 90's. I hadn't seen those graphics on such a board though.
  12. Not sure yet but I'm leaning towards some rubber. Not the deli-style slab that was under the topsheet of my Kessler though. Oh neat! I think this would be worth a try. You first! Where to end the metal though... waist? back foot? I would also think it would be good to end it in a flying-V shape, not just a straight line. Cool.
  13. Yep, I'm working with Sean on a custom. Just have to recover from last night with Uncle Sam. We're going to try a carbon + glass combo with no metal. I'm thinking 171cm, 20.5cm waist, 11.5 - 13 - 12m VSR. Jacopodotti, you seem determined to reject new technology even though I believe I have provided clear explanations for what it does and how it benefits you for freecarving. Ride one and you'll see.
  14. Sugarloaf is hanging on by a thread... Reggae fest this weekend, then closing, then reopening for one last hurrah next weekend.
  15. LOL, the video almost seems like a parody. I can just imagine kids walking across the parking lot or through the base lodge with these strapped on. Yeah groin injury. However I'd be more inclined to try this than "hangboarding" (shudder).

    Who is Skeez Rule ?

Ha, I forget for sure, I think it was Bob Dea. IIRC, Fin banned SR one day when he was feeling especially pious to the no-duplicate-accounts rule. Yeah, the search is still frigged. Fin is submitting a support request to vb.
  17. Ha! Well... I've always thought the vb search was buggy. I've tried to search for stuff that I know is there before this and previous upgrades and it is easily fooled. Edit - ok, it's still fubar'd, but at least it seems to work for relatively recent posts. Fin will be opening a support ticket with vb. Doing a google search with site:bomberonline.com and then your terms still works well.
  18. Search terms have to be at least 4 characters. This is a vbulletin thing. I don't see a way to change that, but Fin might, he has more priviledges. These are on Fin's Honey-do list. :D
  19. Going to try to fix the search function at 10pm EDT. Forum may be down for a while. Please bear with us, thanks.

    Fyi.....

whoah... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1223087/Pictured-The-coyote-hit-car-75mph-embedded-fender-dragged-600-miles--SURVIVED.html yeah, 75mph, it was unharmed.
  21. I have no experience with this exactly, but I am into photography. You may want a polarizer, and if you plan to include some landscape in the foreground, you may also want a graduated neutral density filter. That will darken the top half of the frame. You should ask this on dgrin.com. Helpful people there.
  22. VSR = variable sidecut radius. It seems to be a catch-all. NSR = new school race, a model name of some Coilers.
  23. Wooooo!! http://www.usasa.org/events/nationals/2012-nationals/2012-snowboard-nationals-results.html
