If you stay in Reno, Mt. Rose, Squaw, Alpine Meadows, Northstar are all fairly close by. Kirkwood and Heavenly are about two hours away. Some of the casino/hotels have deals for tickets available.

Yep, James and I are coming. I am very happy to add to the chick count. We will be there starting on Sunday 2/6 and staying for the rest of the event

I think it's just great the way it is.
I have a suggestion for the T shirt issue. How about just making different Bomber designs available on one of the shirt sites such as Cafe Press? Bomber wouldn't have to mess with them at all after set up and can add different shirt styles and designs whenever. The customer can order when and what they want without Bomber having to ship or have an inventory.
Riding together is what it's all about and there are always people I wish I had gotten to have a few runs with, I leave the event always wanting to come back for more.
The white board is a great idea and as far as clininics go they are perfect. I like the informal nature of them and if you can turn and stop you are welcome to participate in a clinic that you are interested in.
James wants to bring a label maker and slap name tags on everyones helmet , but I won't let him:smashfrea

Last year I thought I brought my death home with me. I had recovered enough to be at work on my appointed day, Thursday. This year all is well and we didn't bring anything except a little melancholy that the event is over. Jason B your music for the video is just a bit sad you know!

It's not just kids that can be mean and rude. I got head butted and pole jabbed on the lift at Snowmass by a skier without one word of "oh sorry". Snowmass seemed to have hoards of people trying to see how close they could get to the front of you also, getting to the front makes them the downhill skier and any hit would at that point would be your fault and not theirs.

Do Tuesday for sure, lift tickets are two for the price of one. I know James and I will be there in the morning. Your wife probably won't get very mad since it is easy to hook back up at the lift and long as she knows which side of the mountain you're on.

Another thing to consider is that after you spend a little time on the steeper runs you actually feel more relaxed on the blues. Even if your not riding blacks all that well, your perspective changes and you might be more willing push your boundries a bit on terrain that feels safer.

Try posting on www.Tahoecarvers.com. Maybe someone can help, I have no idea how Heavenly is but Mt. Rose isn't all that great right now. There are some rocks and brush and it's pretty firm early. I'm sure it isn't like East Coast Ice though .

If at all possible I carry my board with me, it goes into the restroom at Mt. Rose everytime. The only time it needs to be locked (Dakine retractable) is on vacation but even then I wish it could just stay with me. I feel even better if it's locked inside the car and hidden too, which is probably silly, but it would be devastating if someone took it.

It looks like there will be quite a few first thing in the morning at Mt. Rose, January 1 2009. Posted on www.Tahoecarvers.com if anyone is interested.

Steve Klasson owned the Wave Rave shop in Mammoth. I don't know if he still does. He competed in big mountain riding events. That shop used to carry carving gear and we always made it a point to go there. I first demod there before buying a Nitro Scorpion at another shop in Mammoth. That was the prettiest board ever.
